(Investors.Com) A British hate preacher has been caught on film saying the soldier beheaded in a London street last month will “burn in hellfire” and that his beheaders, one-time followers, are “martyrs.”
Imam Anjem Choudary, who has threatened America as well as Britain, shockingly told fellow Muslims that the victim, Drummer Lee Rigby, would be tortured in hell for not being Muslim and that one of his murderers, Michael Adebolajo, is “a very nice man” who would be accepted by Allah “into paradise.”
Choudary, who helped radicalize Adebolajo, also warned of “harsh repercussions” in Britain and the U.S. if soldiers continue to kill Muslims in Afghanistan and elsewhere.
It’s outrageous this nut still has a platform.
The Islamist cleric is known as Britain’s “most dangerous man” — the Anwar Awlaki of the U.K. Only, instead of dodging drones in the mountains of Yemen, he’s free to give interviews on TV (including state-funded BBC), collect state welfare benefits (to the tune of $38,000 a year) and continue recruiting and inciting jihadists on the streets of London unmolested by authorities.
Choudary praised the 9/11 hijackers, and after praising the 7/7 London terror attacks as “magnificent,” was supposed to be locked up but never was. Authorities outlawed his terror group, al-Muhajiroun, but he just reopened his jihad factory under another name.
In 2010, British Prime Minister David Cameron complained that Choudary “is one of those people who needs to be looked at seriously in terms of the legality of what he’s saying because he strays, I think, extremely close to the line of encouraging hatred, extremism and violence.”
Strays? C’mon, even the British press says he’s crossed the line, and many are calling for his arrest.
The Sun notes Choudary, the son of Pakistani immigrants and a longtime supporter of Osama bin Laden, has been “inspiring terrorists for a decade.” The Daily Mail reports that Choudary believes his sole calling is to wage holy war against Britain and her “infidel” allies — namely the U.S. — and has converted hundreds to his cause, including convicted proteges Richard Dart, Simon Keeler and Trevor Brooks.
He preaches that jihad training is a duty for Muslim men, the Mail says, and has held jihad camps where young Britons reportedly have trained in “how to use AK-47 rifles and rocket launchers.”
Choudary’s also inspiring jihadists on this side of the Atlantic. He recently told Fox News that America deserved to be attacked.
