Pakistan: Muslims try to stone a man, who allegedly burned Qur’an


(DAWN.COM)  Eight people were injured when a mob stoned police and a blasphemy accused in Talwandi Bhindran village in Niddoke police precincts on Monday.

Village residents besieged the house of Shahzad Ahmad (22), a resident of the same village, and tried to stone him to death for allegedly burning a copy of the Holy Quran on Monday.

Large contingents of police headed by the district police officer reached the village and arrested the accused. As police tried to take the accused to the police station, the mob outside his house tried to snatch him.

When police put up resistance, the mob stoned police and the accused. Eight people were injured in theensuing moments. Police had to resort to aerial firing to disperse the mob. Finally, police took the accused to an undisclosed location with the help of Elite Force.

Later, the mob staged a protest and raised slogans against the accused and the police.

DPO Gohar Mushtaq Bhutta said the accused was being interrogated. He said the mother of the accused died three days ago and apparently he was under a huge mental stress because of the loss.

Also, Sadar DSP Mushtaq Ahmed Anjum suffered a heart attack during the mob attack on the accused and died at the hospital later.

Anjum was resident of Dera Ghazi Khan and was posted in Narowal in April this year. His body was sent to his hometown after his funeral prayers at Tayyab Shaheed Police Lines, Narowal.

    Attacking the House of Fatimah (sa)
    بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
    A Sunni Brother mentioned that the Caliphate of Abu Bakr is the Consensus of scholars (Ijma’). It is incumbent upon Muslims to accept the Ijma’. First I would like to point out that we also believe that Ijma’a is binding. But, my brother, how can Sunni scholars make Ijma’a on something that the Prophet and some of his companions opposed it?
    This opposition is a clear evidence to the fact that there is no Ijma’a in that very matter. As for the Prophet (S), I mentioned the authentic Sunni traditions in the previous articles where he gave Imam ‘Ali the position that Haroon had to Moses. That position is explained in Qur’an whose verses I mentioned. The verses show that:
    1-Allah is the one who appoints the Caliph.
    2-The verse also uses the word “Ukhlofni” which is exactly the verb form of Khalif.
    Moreover, I reproduced the historical reports documented by the Sunni scholars concerning the fact that the Messenger of Allah unequivocally announced Imam ‘Ali (as) as his successor in his first open sermon. I also mentioned the authentic and frequent tradition of Ghadir Khum where the Prophet declared the leadership of Imam ‘Ali (as) officially.
    Now, my brother, how can Ijma’a exist on this important issue when the Messenger of Allah opposes it? This is enough for us to close the issue of Ijma’a on this subject. However let us, now, go a little further: Even the companions did not all agree that all these four individuals are the legitimate successors of the Prophet (S).
    Muslims agree that the caliphate of Abu Bakr came through election by a limited number of people and was a surprise for all other companions. By limited, I mean, a majority of the prominent companions of prophet had no knowledge of this election. ‘Ali, Ibn Abbas, Uthman, Talha, Zubair, Sa’d Ibn Abi Waqqas, Salman al- Farsi, Abu Dharr, Ammar Ibn Yasir, Miqdad, Abdurrahman Ibn Owf were among those who were not consulted or even informed of. Even Umar confessed to the fact that the election of Abu Bakr was without consultation of Muslims.

    My dear brother, we can not close our eyes to the undeniable facts documented even by the Sunni scholars, and yet claim to have Ijma’a. After the demise of the Prophet (S), those who heed what the Messenger of Allah ordered them such as Ammar Ibn Yasir, Abu-Dhar al-Ghafari, Miqdad, Salman al-Farsi, Ibn Abbas, and others such as al-Abbas, Utbah Ibn Abi Lahab, Bara Ibn Azib, Ubay Ibn Ka’b, Sa’d Ibn Abi Waqqas … etc., all gathered in the house of Fatimah (sa). Even Talha and al-Zubair were loyal to Imam ‘Ali at the beginning and joint the others in the house of Fatimah (sa).
    They assembled in the house of Fatimah as a place of refuge since they were opposing the majority of people. According to the authentic traditions in Sahih al-Bukhari, Umar confessed that the Imam ‘Ali (as) and his followers opposed Abu Bakr.
    Al-Bukhari narrated:
    Umar said: “And no doubt after the death of the Prophet we were informed that the Ansar disagreed with us and gathered in the shed of Bani Sa’da. ‘‘Ali and Zubair and whoever was with them, opposed us, while the emigrants gathered with Abu Bakr.”

    Other Sunni traditionalists narrated that on the day of Saqifah:
    Umar said: “‘Ali Ibn Abi Talib, Zubair Ibn Awwam and those who were with them separated from us (and gathered) in the house of Fatimah, daughter of the messenger of Allah.”

    Also: demanded confirmation of the oath, but ‘Ali and al-Zubair stayed away. Al-Zubair drew his sword (from the scabbard), saying,
    “I will not put it back until the oath of allegiance is rendered to ‘Ali.”
    When this news reached Abu Bakr and Umar, the latter said,
    “Hit him with a stone and seize the sword.”
    It is stated that Umar rushed (to the door of the House of Fatimah) and brought them forcibly while telling them that they must give their oath of allegiance willingly or unwillingly.

    Dear brother, let’s just think a little!
    What kind of election was that?!
    Election implies choice and freedom, and that every Muslim has the right to elect the nominee. Whoever refuses to elect him does not oppose God or His Messenger because neither God nor His Messenger appointed the nominated person by people.
    Election, by its nature, does not compel any Muslim to elect a specific nominee. Otherwise, the election would be coercion. This means that the election would lose its own nature and it would be a dictatorial operation. It is well known that the Prophet said:
    “There is no validity for any allegiance given by force.”
    Now let us see what Umar did on those days. Sunni historians reported that:
    When Umar came to the door of the house of Fatimah, he said:
    “By Allah, I shall burn down (the house) over you unless you come out and give the oath of allegiance (to Abu Bakr).”

    Also:
    Umar Ibn al-Khattab came to the house of ‘Ali. Talha and Zubair and some of the immigrants were also in the house. Umar cried out:
    “By God, either you come out to render the oath of allegiance, or I will set the house on fire.”
    al-Zubair came out with his sword drawn. As he stumbled (upon something), the sword fell from his hand so they jumped over him and seized him.”

    In the footnotes of the same page (p187) in the English version of the History of al-Tabari the translator has commented:
    Although the timing is not clear, it seems that ‘Ali and his group came to know about Saqifa after what had happened there. At this point, his supporters gathered in Fatimah’s house. Abu Bakr and Umar, fully aware of ‘Ali’s claims and fearing a serious threat from his supporters, summoned him to the mosque to swear the oath of allegiance. ‘Ali refused, and so the house was surrounded by an armed band led by Abu Bakr and Umar, who threatened to set it on fire if ‘Ali and his supporters refused to come out and swear allegiance to Abu Bakr. The scene grew violent and Fatimah was furious. (See Ansab Ashraf, by al-Baladhuri in his , v1, pp 582-586; Tarikh Ya’qubi, v2, p116; al-Imamah wal-Siyasah, by Ibn Qutaybah, v1, pp 19-20).
    Abu Bakr said on the authority of an authentic report that, after the demise of the holy Prophet when the people had paid fealty to him, ‘Ali and Zubair used to go to Fatimah al-Zahra (sa), daughter of the Prophet, for consultation. When this fact was known to Umar, he went to Fatimah and said:
    “O’ daughter of the Prophet! I didn’t love anyone as much as I loved your father, nor anyone after him is more loving to me as you are. But I swear by Allah that if these people assemble here with you, then this love of mine would not prevent me from setting your house on fire.”

    Umar said to Fatimah (who was behind the door of her house):
    “I know that the Prophet of God did not love any one more than you, but this will not stop me to carry out my decision. If these people stay in your house, I will burn the door in front of you.”

    In fact Shibli Numani himself testifies the above event in the following words:
    “From Umar’s irritable and peevish temperament such an action on his part was not improbable.”

    Abu Bakr said (on his death bed):
    “I wish I had not searched for Fatimah’s house, and had not sent men to harass her, though it would have caused a war if her house would have continued to be used as a shelter.”

    The historian named the following people among those who attacked the house of Fatimah to disperse people who sheltered there:
    – Umar Ibn al-Khattab
    – Khalid Ibn Walid
    – Abdurrahman Ibn Ouf
    – Thabit Ibn Shammas
    – Ziad Ibn Labid
    – Muhammad Ibn Maslamah
    – Salamah Ibn Salem Ibn Waqash
    – Salamah Ibn Aslam
    – Usaid Ibn Hozair
    – Zaid Ibn Thabit
    The revered Sunni scholar, Abu Muhammad Abdullah Ibn Muslim Ibn Qutaybah Daynuri in his history of Caliphs known as “al-Imamah wa al- Siyasah”reported:
    Umar asked for wood, and told those people inside the house:
    “I swear by Allah who has my soul in his hand, that if you do not come out, I will burn the house.”
    Someone told Umar that Fatimah was inside the house.
    Umar said:
    “So what! It doesn’t matter to me who is in the house.”

    Another Sunni historian, al-Baladhuri, reported that:
    Abu Bakr asked ‘Ali to support him, but ‘Ali refused, then Umar went toward the ‘Ali’s house with a burning torch. At the door he met Fatimah who said to him:
    “Do you intend to burn the door of my house?”
    Umar said:
    “Yes, because this act will strengthen the faith brought to us by your father.”

    Also Jouhari in his book said:
    “Umar and a few Muslims went to the house of Fatimah to burn it down and to burn those who were in opposition.”
    Ibn Shahna said the same statement adding
    “to burn the house and inhabitants”.
    Furthermore, it is reported that:
    ‘Ali and Abbas were sitting inside the house of Fatimah, Abu Bakr told Umar:
    “Go and bring them; if they refuse, kill them.”
    Umar brought fire to burn the house. Fatimah came near the door and said:
    “O son of Khattab, have you come to burn our house on me and my children?”
    Umar replied:
    “Yes I will, by Allah, until they come out and pay allegiance to the Prophet’s Caliph.”

    Everybody came out of the house except Imam ‘Ali (as), who said:
    “I have sworn to remain home until I collect the Qur’an.”
    Umar refused but Lady Fatimah’s remonstration caused him to return. He instigated Abu Bakr to pursue the matter, and he send Qunfuz (his slave) several times but received a negative reply each time.
    Ultimately, Umar went with a group of people to the Fatimah’s house. When she heard their voice, she criedloudly;
    “O father, O Messenger of Allah, how are Umar Ibn al-Khattab and Abu Bakr Ibn Abi Quhafah treating us after you and how do they meet us.”
    The Sunni scholars, Ahmad Ibn Abdul Aziz al-Jawhari in his book ‘Saqifah’, Abu Waleed Muhibbuddin Muhammad al-Shahnah al-Hanafi in his book ‘Rawdhat al-Manadhir Fi Akhbaar al-Awayil wal-Aawaakhir’, Ibn Abil Hadid in his book ‘Sharh al-Nahj’, and others have reported the events to the same effect.
    Also refer to the esteemed Sunni historian Abul Hasan, ‘Ali Ibn al-Husayn al-Mas’udi who in his book ‘Isbaat al-Wasiyyah’ describes the events in detail and reports that:
    “They surrounded ‘Ali (as) and burned the door of his house and pulled him out against his will and pressed the leader of all women (Hadhrat Fatimah (sa)) between the door and the wall killing Mohsin (the male-child she was carrying in her womb for six months).”
    Salahuddin Khalil al-Safadi another Sunni scholar in his book ‘Waafi al- Wafiyyaat’ under the letter ‘A’ while recording the view of Ibrahim Ibn Sayyar Ibn Hani al-Basri, well-known as Nidhaam quotes him to have said:
    “On the day of ‘Bay’aat’ (paying allegiance), Umar hit Fatimah (sa) on the stomach such that child in her womb died.”
    Why do you think an 18 year old young lady was forced to walk with the help of a walking-stick? Unbelievable acts of cruelty and oppression had led Hadhrat Fatimah al-Zahra (sa) to lament:
    “Such calamities have visited me that had they descended on the day it would have darkened it.”
    She fell into bed till she was martyred as a result of these calamities and injuries while she was just eighteen years old!
    During her last days, when Abu Bakr and Umar sought the mediation of Imam ‘Ali (as) to visit the ailing Hadhrat Fatimah (sa), as quoted by Ibn Qutaybah, she turned her face to the wall when they greeted her and in response to their plea for appeasement reminded them of the prophetic declaration that one who displeases Fatimah (sa) has displeased the Prophet and finally said:
    “I take Allah and the angels to be my witness that you have not pleased me; on the other hand, you have angered me. When I shall meet the Prophet (S) I will complain about you two.”

    For the same reason, she willed that those who have hurt her should not participate in her funeral rites and that she be buried at night. al- Bukhari in his Sahih attests to this fact that Imam ‘Ali (as) complied with the will of Lady Fatimah (sa). al-Bukhari narrated on the authority of Aisha that:
    … Fatimah became angry with Abu Bakr and kept away from him, and did not talk to him till she died. She remained alive for six months after the death of the Prophet. When she died, her husband ‘‘Ali, buried her at night without informing Abu Bakr and he said the funeral prayer by himself.

    Howsoever they tried, people failed to locate her grave. It was known only to a handful of Imam ‘Ali (as)’s family members. And to this date, the grave of the daughter of prophet is unknown which is another sign of her unhappiness from some of the companions.
    The Opinion of the Prophet About Who Hurts Fatimah
    The Messenger of Allah (S) had frequently said:
    “Fatimah is a part of me. Whoever makes her angry makes me angry.”

    According to al-Bukhari and Muslim, the Messenger of Allah has testified that Fatimah is the best of the ladies of the worlds:
    Sahih al-Bukhari Hadith: 4.819
    Narrated ‘Aisha:
    The Messenger of Allah said to Fatimah (who was crying at her father’s deathbed):
    “Are you not satisfied that you are the chief of all the ladies of Paradise or the chief of all the believing women?”
    أما ترضين أن تكوني سيدة نساء أهل الجنة أو نساء المؤمنين؟
    Furthermore, Ibn Abbas (ra) narrated:
    The Messenger of Allah (S) said: Four women are the mistress of the worlds: Mary, Asiya (the wife of Pharaoh), Khadija, and Fatimah. And the most excellent one among them in the world is Fatimah.”

    Allah, Exalted He is, said in Qur’an:
    “(O Prophet) tell (people) I don’t ask you any wage except to love my family.”(Qur’an 42:23).
    He also said:
    “(O Prophet) tell (people) whatever I asked as wage (in return or my prophethood) is in the benefit of you (people).”(Qur’an 34:47).
    The above two verses of Holy Qur’an explicitly indicate that the Prophet, with the order of Allah, has asked people to love his family as a command. Moreover loving them is in our benefit since “true love” requires to follow and obey the purified members of his family who carry his true Sunnah. It is unfortunate that those who claimed to be his sincere companions inflicted such horrible pains to his family while a week had not been passed since the death of the Prophet (S). Is this the love, Allah ordered for the family of prophet?!

    Where Is Her Grave?
    The Muslims have been deeply pained.
    Their beloved prophet has passed away.
    And especially for his kith and kin,
    it is one of their lives saddest day.
    A lady who happens to be his daughter,
    above all is the most afflicted one.
    She was the nearest to her father.
    Alas her troubles have just begun.
    What in the Prophet’s eyes was her status,
    unfortunately the people shall forget.
    She should be respected by all of us.
    But a harsh treatment, she’ll be met.
    Everyone had heard her father say,
    “My daughter is a part of me”.
    For her safety he would often pray;
    Not wanting her to bear any agony.
    But his words fell on deaf ears.
    His followers were lead astray.
    So, were realized those worst fears,
    and his tidings were disobeyed.
    Each forthcoming day brings her sorrow
    and only a few more months she’ll live.
    Each night she worries about her woes.
    Her tormentors, she may not forgive.
    In her last days, she is seen weeping.
    Awake all night, she seldom sleeps.
    Of her troubles, she keeps thinking.
    The wounds in her heart are so deep.
    The thoughts of her father alone
    cause tears from her eyes to flow
    and what will happen to her children?
    What fate do they have in stow?
    “Be kind to them and take care”,
    she wills about her poor children,
    because she’ll be no longer near
    and they’ll soon be orphans.
    As she spends the time crying,
    her neighbours come and complain.
    But look! She is already dying.
    Their complaint will be in vain.
    And that dark moment finally comes,
    for her heavenly abode, she departs.
    Holding back their tears, her children,
    see their baba, who, with a heavy heart,
    hands trembling and with great anguish
    takes away her coffin during the night.
    He makes sure to fulfill her last wish.
    She will rest, out of everyone’s sight.
    Has gone from this world forever,
    the mother of children so brave!
    But why was she buried in a manner
    that no one knows, where is her grave?

    But also they cut all the financial resources of Ahlul-Bayt in order to crush the opposition. In Sahih al-Bukhari the following has also been narrated by Aisha:
    Fatimah the daughter of the Prophet sent someone to Abu Bakr (when he was a caliph), asking for her inheritance of what Allah’s Apostle had left of the property bestowed on him by Allah from the Fai (i.e. booty gained without fighting) in Medina, and Fadak, and what remained of the Khumus of the Khaibar booty. …but Abu Bakr refused to give anything of that to Fatimah. So she became angry with Abu Bakr and kept away from him, and did not task to him till she died. She remained alive for six months after the death of the Prophet. When she died, her husband ‘‘Ali, buried her at night without informing Abu Bakr and he said the funeral prayer by himself.

    Now either Fatimah was liar or Abu Bakr treated her unjustly. If she was liar, then she did not deserve such a saying from the Prophet that Fatimah is a part of me and whoever angers her, angers me. This in itself is a clear indication of her infallibility. The purification sentence of the Holy Qur’an (the last sentence of verse 33:33) is another indication of her infallibility, as Aisha herself testified (See Sahih Muslim, 1980 Edition, Arabic, v4, p1883, Tradition #61). Hence there is nothing left for the sensible people but to accept the fact that she was unjustly treated, and that she was easy to be branded as a liar by Umar who was willing to let her burn unless the remaining people in her house come out to vote for Abu Bakr.
    So logical conclusion from the above traditions in Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim is that Fatimah was treated unjustly, and that she was angry at Abu Bakr and Umar, which follows Allah and his prophet are angry at them according the above tradition in Sahih al-Bukhari. The excuse that Abu Bakr used to refuse to pay the right of Fatimah (see Appendix) was against the text of Qur’an. How can he be the executor of prophet while he does not obey the clear text of Qur’an? Abu Bakr claimed that prophet has said:
    “We prophets do not leave any inheritance, and whatever we leave should go to charity.”
    This is false allegation that he has made up, because prophet can not contradict Qur’an which in two verses testifies that prophets had heir, and their children inherited from them.
    Allah says in Qur’an:
    “And Solomon (Sulaymaan) inherited from David.”(Qur’an 27:16)
    While both Sulaymaan and David were prophets and very wealthy. They were kings of their times. Allah , Exalted, also says:
    “(Zakariya prayed to Allah by saying)… Grant me a son from yourself, who inherits from me and inherit from the children of Jacob, and make him, O’ my Lord, the one with whom you are well-pleased.”(Qur’an 19:5-6).
    These are examples that prophets left inheritance. In fact, Fatimah (sa) mentioned these verses as her proof for her right, but Abu Bakr refused due to the suggestion of Umar, and they intentionally went against the clear text of Qur’an.
    Historical facts testifie that prophet even had already transferred Fadak (Which was a big and rich piece of land in Hijaz) to Fatimah and it was the property of Fatimah long before the demise of the Prophet. As such, even it was not even the matter of inheritance as claimed by Abu Bakr. The reason that the Prophet had transferred Fadak to Fatimah was to provide financial resources for the followers of Ahlul-Bayt.
    But after the Prophet passed away, Abu Bakr and Umar dismissed the managers of that land (who were assigned by Fatimah in the life time of his father), and confiscated that land and other properties of Ahlul-Bayt. The reason is very simple: They knew that if this rich property remains in the hand of Imam ‘Ali and Fatimah, peace be upon them, they will spend its revenues to their followers and this would give strength to the rival party and endangers their position. Abu Bakr and Umar realized the fact that in order to control the oppositions, it is necessary to remove all the funding abilities first.
    Thus the problem was not a simple financial problem. It was absolutely political in nature. The quarrel Fatimah (sa) was not for the pleasure of this world. History testifies that Imam ‘Ali and Fatimah have had a very simple life during the life time of prophet as well as thereafter. It is well known that verses (76:8-9) of the holy Qur’an was revealed for them when for 3 consecutive days, they gave their meal to needy people at the time of IFTAR, when they were going to break their fast, and there was noting left for them and their children to eat for three consecutive days.
    So such pious people do not struggle or GET ANGRY because of such worldly things. THAT IS WHY ANGER OF FATIMAH IS ANGER OF PROPHET. They were, in fact, struggling for the sake of Allah and for spending their legitimate properties for His Right Path and its followers.
    At the time of Harun al-Rashid (one of the Abbasid Tyrants) the Islamic country was in its biggest extent. It was extended from Afghanistan and central Asia to the North Africa. So it was not important for government to give up a piece of land. Moreover, by returning it they could make propaganda for their interest. According to some reports, Harun told to Imam Musa al-Kadhim (the 7th Imam of the Ahlul-Bayt):
    “Let us know the location of the land of Fadak so that I could return it to you.”
    The Imam (as) replied:
    “I would accept it only in its entirety.”
    Harun said:
    “Specify its boundaries then.”
    The Imam (as) said:
    “If I specify its borders, you will not return it.”
    Harun said:
    “I swear in the name of your grandfather that I shall return it.”
    At this time, the Imam (as) said:
    “It extends from one side to Aden (Southern part of Arabian Peninsula), and from one side to Samarqand (Afghanistan), and from one side to Armenia (south of Russia) and from one side to Egypt in Africa.”
    The face of Harun turned red and said:
    “This does not leave anything for us.”
    The Imam (as) replied:
    “I told you that you will not return it if I specify its limits!”(al-Bihar, v48, p144, Hadith #20).

    Fatimah the daughter of the Prophet sent someone to Abu Bakr (when he was a caliph), asking for her inheritance of what Allah’s Apostle had left of the property bestowed on him by Allah from the Fai (i.e. booty gained without fighting) in Medina, and Fadak, and what remained of the Khumus of the Khaibar booty. On that, Abu Bakr said,
    “Allah’s Apostle said, “Our property is not inherited. Whatever we leave, is Sadaqa, but the family of (the Prophet) Muhammad can eat of this property.’ By Allah, I will not make any change in the state of the Sadaqa of Allah’s Apostle and will leave it as it was during the lifetime of Allah’s Apostle, and will dispose of it as Allah’s Apostle used to do.”
    So Abu Bakr refused to give anything of that to Fatimah. So she became angry with Abu Bakr and kept away from him, and did not talk to him till she died. She remained alive for six months after the death of the Prophet. When she died, her husband ‘‘Ali, buried her at night without informing Abu Bakr and he said the funeral prayer by himself.
    When Fatimah was alive, the people used to respect ‘‘Ali much, but after her death, ‘‘Ali noticed a change in the people’s attitude towards him. So ‘Ali sought reconciliation with Abu Bakr and gave him an oath of allegiance. ‘Ali had not given the oath of allegiance during those months (i.e. the period between the Prophet’s death and Fatimah’s death).
    ‘‘Ali sent someone to Abu Bakr saying, “Come to us, but let nobody come with you,” as he disliked that ‘Umar should come.
    ‘Umar said (to Abu Bakr), “No, by Allah, you shall not enter upon them alone.”
    Abu Bakr said,
    “What do you think they will do to me? By Allah, I will go to them’
    Abu Bakr entered upon them, and then ‘‘Ali uttered Tashah-hud and said (to Abu Bakr),
    “We know well your superiority and what Allah has given you, and we are not jealous of the good what Allah has bestowed upon you, but you did not consult us in the question of the rule and we thought that we have got a right in it because of our near relationship to Allah’s Apostle .”
    Thereupon Abu Bakr’s eyes flowed with tears. And when Abu Bakr spoke, he said,
    “By Him in Whose Hand my soul is to keep good relations with the relatives of Allah’s Apostle is dearer to me than to keep good relations with my own relatives. But as for the trouble which arose between me and you about his property, I will do my best to spend it according to what is good, and will not leave any rule or regulation which I saw Allah’s Apostle following, in disposing of it, but I will follow.”
    On that ‘‘Ali said to Abu Bakr,
    “I promise to give you the oath of allegiance in this after noon.”
    So when Abu Bakr had offered the Zuhr prayer, he ascended the pulpit and uttered the Tashah-hud and then mentioned the story of
    ‘‘Ali and his failure to give the oath of allegiance, and excused him, accepting what excuses he had offered; Then ‘‘Ali (got up) and praying (to Allah) forgiveness, he uttered Tashah-hud, praised Abu Bakr’s right, and said, that he had not done what he had done because of jealousy of Abu Bakr or as a protest of that Allah had favored him with. ‘‘Ali added, “But we used to consider that we too had some right in this affair (of rulership) and that he (i.e. Abu Bakr) did not consult us in this matter, and therefore caused us to feel sorry.”
    On that all the Muslims became happy and said, “You have done the right thing.”
    The Muslims then became friendly with ‘‘Ali as he returned to what the people had done (i.e. giving the oath of allegiance to Abu Bakr).

    Muhammad “Quasimodo” the “Lumpback of Mecca” had a big lump on his back, between his shoulder-blades and this was the sigh that he was the Seal of the Arab Prophets!

    THE QURAN SAYS MUHAMMAD IS THE SEAL OF THE PROPHETS

    Muhammad is not the father of any of your men, but (he is) the Apostle of God, and the Seal of the Prophets: and God has full knowledge of all things. S. 33:40 Y. Ali

    Now at first glance this text seems to imply nothing more than that Muhammad was the culmination of prophethood, that he was the last in a series of spokespersons that Allah had sent. Reading the hadith literature, however, it is obvious that according to Muslim sources this seal was more than a statement regarding Muhammad’s status in relation to the previous prophets.     My aunt took me to the Prophet and said, “O Allah’s Apostle! He had a finer chest than anyone else, was truer in utterance than anyone else, had the gentlest nature and the noblest tribe. Those who saw him suddenly stood in awe of him and those who shared his acquaintanceship loved him. Those who described him said they had never seen anyone like him before or since.

While they were loosening their baggage the monk began to go about among them till he came and, taking Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) by the hand, said, “This is the chief of the universe; this is the messenger of the Lord of the universe whom Allah is commissioning as a mercy to the universe.” Some shaykhs of Quraysh asked him how he knew, and he replied, “When you came over the hill not a tree or a stone failed to bow in prostration, and they prostrate themselves only before a prophet. I recognize him by the seal of prophecy, like an apple, below the end of his shoulder-blade.” He then went and prepared food for them, and when he brought it to them the Prophet (peace be upon him) was looking after the camels, so he told them to send for him. He came with a cloud above him shading him and when he approached the people he found they had gone before him into the shade of a tree. Then when he sat down the shade of the tree inclined over him, and the monk said, “Look how the shade of the tree has inclined over him. I adjure you by Allah to tell me which of you is his guardian.” On being told that it was AbuTalib he kept adjuring him to send him back until he did so. Then the man said, “Tell it to go back,” and it went back. The Amiri said, “O Banu Amir, I have never seen a greater magician than I have seen today.” (Pp. 66-67)
    “Then one said to the other, ‘Open his breast.’ He opened my heart, and took out from it the pollution of Satan and the clot of blood, and threw them away. Then one said to the other, ‘Wash his breast as you would a receptacle– or, wash his heart as you would a covering.’ Then he summoned the sakinah, which looked like the face of a white cat, and it was placed in my heart. Then one of them said to the other, ‘Sew up his breast.’ So they sewed up my breast and placed the seal between my shoulders…” (p. 75)
    It turns out that Muhammad’s seal of prophethood was a physical deformity, a mole with spots, which conflicting reports say was shaped either like an apple, the button of a small tent or like the egg of a partridge! It is simply beyond us how this is supposed to be one of the proofs that convince people of Muhammad’s prophethood!

They don’t risk being ostracized by their friends, family and community. When they realise that their religion is false, the vast majority react by adopting various coping mechanisms. For example, they pretend that they are still true believers. They know all the things they are expected to say and do, so they keep saying and doing them, albeit without any enthusiasm now. Or they enter a state of denial, or doublethink. A few even become more zealous believers than they ever were before, in the hope that if they fanatically re-embrace their beliefs they will somehow dispel the unbelief that now plagues them. Islam, one of the most successful religion in modern history, is the most comprehensively disproved religion of all time. Bookshops groan with tomes launching deadly attacks from every direction on Islam. Each book may contain some and possibly many factual errors, but nevertheless the general thrust in each case is undeniable. Islamic apologists invariably seize on the minor factual errors to try to discredit the attacks, but they never address the real point of all of these books: that Islam is history’s most flagrant fictional creation. Why hasn’t Islam already collapsed? Why do so many cling to it even though it is demonstrably false? Why do they reject the mass of evidence showing that their religious beliefs are absurd and almost insane? It’s because they are faced with a terrifying prospect: having to find something new to replace their old beliefs. How would they begin? They have no idea what they are looking for. There are so many choices facing them. How could they possibly decide between them all? Would they have to study every religion on earth to find the right one? And what if there wasn’t a right one? Maybe the atheists were right all along. So then they might have to study science instead. But look how difficult that is. So they do what the vast majority of human beings do: they follow the path of least resistance. They stick with what they know, with what is familiar to them. It’s easier to believe in something that is false than to discover what is true. The first path requires self-deception, hypocrisy and cynicism, the second requires the hardest work imaginable, with no guarantee of success. Perhaps you will be cast into the abyss of meaninglessness. So you remain where you are, holding beliefs that you no longer believe in. Isn’t that the fate of most of humanity? Virtually every Muslim, deep down, understands that their religion is ridiculous. The proof is that most of those who profess belief in Islam do not behave in a way that would ever be associated with the alleged message of their religion. They are supposed to be jihadic, murdering, raping, child molesting, enslaving, thieving, selfish, cruel, hateful, uncaring, cynical, violent, callous, aggressive, unhelpful, greedy, out for themselves, obsessed with power, glory, money and status. If ALL Muslims behaved in anything like the manner they are supposed to, the world would be unrecognizable. It would look like a Blood Bath. Nowhere is the vileness of Islam more apparent than in the Middle East. Who created this grotesque religion that has inflicted so much damage on the world? I saw an angel carrying you in a silken piece of cloth, and I said to him, ‘uncover (her),’ and behold, it was you. I said (to myself), ‘if this is from Allah, then it must happen. AISHA’S FATHER DID NOT APPROVE AT FIRST Aisha’s father, Abu Bakr, wasn’t on board at first, but Muhammad explained how the rules of their religion made it possible. This is similar to the way that present-day cult leaders manipulate their followers into similar concessions. Sahih Bukhari 7.18 Narrated ‘Ursa: The prophet asked abu Bakr for ‘Aisha’s hand in marriage. Abu Bakr said “but I am your brother.” the prophet said, “you are my brother in Allah’s religion and his book, but she (Aisha) is lawful for me to marry.” MUHAMMAD, 50, MARRIES BABY AISHA AGE 6 Sahih Bukhari volume 5, book 58, number 234 Narrated Aisha: the prophet engaged (married) me when I was a girl of six (years). We went to medina and stayed at the home of Bani-al-Harith bin Khazraj. Then I got ill and my hair fell down. Later on my hair grew (again) and my mother, um ruman, came to me while I was playing in a swing with some of my girl friends. She called me, and I went to her, not knowing what she wanted to do to me. She caught me by the hand and made me stand at the door of the house. I was breathless then, and when my breathing became alright, she took some water and rubbed my face and head with it. Then she took me into the house. There in the house I saw some ansari women who said, “best wishes and Allah’s blessing and a good luck.” then she entrusted me to them and they prepared me (for the marriage). Unexpectedly Allah’s apostle came to me in the forenoon and my mother handed me over to him, and at that time I was a girl of nine years of age. Sahih bukhari volume 8, book 73, number 151 Narrated ‘Aisha: I used to play with the dolls in the presence of the prophet, and my girl friends also used to play with me. When Allah’s apostle used to enter (my dwelling place) they used to hide themselves, but the prophet would call them to join and play with me. (the playing with the dolls and similar images is forbidden, but it was allowed for ‘Aisha at that time, as she was a little girl, not yet reached the age of puberty.) (Fateh-al-bari page 143, vol.13) Muhammad’s father in law, Umar bin Khattab, the second rightly guided khalifa, married even a younger child, Umm Kulthum. Umm Khultum was about 4-5 years old when she was married. Umar was certainly not doing wrong according to Islam, Muhammad once said that even the devil would step aside when he met Umar on an alley. Islam is indeed the true religion for pedophiles, rapists, sadistics etc. Sahih Muslim Book 008, Number 3310: ‘A’isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported: Allah’s Apostle (may peace be upon him) married me when I was six years old, and I was admitted to his house when I was nine years old. Sahih Bukhari Volume 7, Book 62, Number 64 Narrated ‘Aisha: that the Prophet married her when she was six years old and he consummated his marriage when she was nine years old, and then she remained with him for nine years (i.e., till his death). Sahih Bukhari Volume 7, Book 62, Number 65 Narrated ‘Aisha: that the Prophet married her when she was six years old and he consummated his marriage when she was nine years old. Hisham said: I have been informed that ‘Aisha remained with the Prophet for nine years (i.e. till his death).” what you know of the Quran (by heart)’ Sahih Bukhari Volume 7, Book 62, Number 88 Narrated ‘Ursa: The Prophet wrote the (marriage contract) with ‘Aisha while she was six years old and consummated his marriage with her while she was nine years old and she remained with him for nine years (i.e. till his death). Some Muslims claim that it was Abu Bakr who approached Muhammad asking him to marry his daughter. This is of course not true and here is the proof. Sahih Bukhari 7.18 Narrated ‘Ursa: The Prophet asked Abu Bakr for ‘Aisha’s hand in marriage. Abu Bakr said “But I am your brother.” The Prophet said, “You are my brother in Allah’s religion and His Book, but she (Aisha) is lawful for me to marry.” Arabs were a primitive lot with little rules to abide. Yet they had some code of ethics that they honored scrupulously. For example, although they fought all the year round, they abstained from hostilities during certain holy months of the year. They also considered Mecca to be a holy city and did not make war against it. A adopted son’s wife was deemed to be a daughter in law and they would not marry her. Also it was customary that close friends made a pact of brotherhood and considered each other as true brothers. The Prophet disregarded all of these rules anytime they stood between him and his interests or whims. Abu Bakr and Muhammad had pledged to each other to be brothers. So according to their customs Ayesha was supposed to be like a niece to the “Holy Prophet” of Mecca. Yet that did not stop him asking Abu Bakr for her hand, even when she was only six years old. But this moral relativist “Holy Prophet” of Mecca would use the same excuse to reject a woman he did not like. Sahih Bukhari V.7, B62, N. 37 Narrated Ibn ‘Abbas: It was said to the Prophet, “Won’t you marry the daughter of Hamza?” He said, “She is my foster niece (brother’s daughter). ” Hamza and Abu Bakr both were the foster brothers of Muhammad. But Ayesha must have been too pretty for the “Holy Prophet” of Mecca to abide by the codes of ethics and custom. In the following Hadith he confided to Aisha that he had dreamed of her before soliciting her from her father. There are numerous hadithes that explicitly reveal the age of Ayesha at the time of her marriage. Here are some of them. Sahih Bukhari 5.236. Narrated Hisham’s father: Khadija died three years before the Prophet departed to Medina. He stayed there for two years or so and then he married ‘Aisha when she was a girl of six years of age, and he consumed that marriage when she was nine years old. Sahih Bukhari 5.234 Narrated Aisha: The Prophet engaged me when I was a girl of six (years). We went to Medina and stayed at the home of Bani-al-Harith bin Khazraj. Sunan Abu-Dawud Book 41, Number 4915, also Number 4916 and Number 4917 Narrated Aisha, Ummul Mu’minin: The Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) married me when I was seven or six. When we came to Medina, some women came. according to Bishr’s version: Umm Ruman came to me when I was swinging. They took me, made me prepared and decorated me. I was then brought to the Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him), and he took up cohabitation with me when I was nine. She halted me at the door, and I burst into laughter. In the above hadith we read that Aisha was swinging, This is a play of little girls not grown up people. The following Hadith is particularly interesting because it shows that Aisha was so small that was not aware what was going on when the Holy Prophet “surprised” her by going to her. Sahih Bukhari Volume 7, Book 62, Number 90 Narrated Aisha: When the Prophet married me, my mother came to me and made me enter the house (of the Prophet) and nothing surprised me but the coming of Allah’s Apostle to me in the forenoon. Must have been quite a surprise! But the following is also interesting because it demonstrates that she was just a kid playing with her dolls. Pay attention to what the interpreter wrote in the parenthesis. (She was a little girl, not yet reached the age of puberty) Sahih Bukhari Volume 8, Book 73, Number 151 Narrated ‘Aisha: I used to play with the dolls in the presence of the Prophet, and my girl friends also used to play with me. When Allah’s Apostle used to enter (my dwelling place) they used to hide themselves, but the Prophet would call them to join and play with me. (The playing with the dolls and similar images is forbidden, but it was allowed for ‘Aisha at that time, as she was a little girl, not yet reached the age of puberty.) (Fateh-al-Bari page 143, Vol.13) Sahih Muslim Book 008, Number 3311 ‘A’isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported that Allah’s Apostle (may peace be upon him) married her when she was seven years old, and he was taken to his house as a bride when she was nine, and her dolls were with her; and when he (the Holy Prophet) died she was eighteen years old. The holy Prophet died when he was 63. So he must have married Aisha when he as 51 and went to her when he was 54. Sahih Bukhari Volume 8, Book 73, Number 33 Narrated ‘Aisha: I never felt so jealous of any woman as I did of Khadija, though she had died three years before the Prophet married me, and that was because I heard him mentioning her too often, and because his Lord had ordered him to give her the glad tidings that she would have a palace in Paradise, made of Qasab and because he used to slaughter a sheep and distribute its meat among her friends. Khadija died in December of 619 AD. That is two years before Hijra. At that time the Prophet was 51-years-old. So in the same year that Khadija died the prophet married Aisha and took her to his home 3 years later, i.e. one year after Hijra. But until she “grew up” he married Umm Salama. In another part Aisha claims that as long as she remembers her parents were always Muslims. Sahih Bukhari Volume 5, Book 58, Number 245 Narrated ‘Aisha: (the wife of the Prophet) I never remembered my parents believing in any religion other than the true religion (i.e. Islam), If Ayesha was older i.e. 16 or 18 as some Muslims claim, she would have remembered the religion of her parents prior to becoming Muslims. Now someone may still claim that all these hadithes are lies. People are free to say whatever they want. But truth is clear like the Sun for those who have eyes. No sane person would be aroused by a 6-year-old child. Decent people wince at the thought of this shameful act. Yet some Muslims deny them. The question is why so many followers of Muhammad would fabricate so many false hadithes about the age of Aisha, which incidentally confirm each other? MUHAMMAD WOULD THIGH WITH BABY AISHA HOW TO THIGH & GET HIGH Now let us see how thighing is practiced on a female child & who began this evil practice. According to an official Fatwa issued in Saudi Arabia, the prophet Muhammad began to practice thighing his child-bride, Aisha when she was 6 years old until she reached 9 years of age (Fatwa No. 31409). The hadith mentioned the prophet Muhammad started performing literal sex with Aisha ONLY when she reached the age of 9 (Sahih al-Bukhari, book 62, hadith No. 89). Muslim scholars collectively agree, a child becomes an adult, available for sexual intercourse as soon as she reaches the age of nine. Likewise, the Shari’a allows any of the faithful to marry a six-year-old child. According to the fatwa, the prophet Muhammad could not have sex with his fiancée, Aisha when she was six due to her small size & age. However, the fatwa said that at age six, he would put his penis between her thighs and massage it gently because he did not want to harm her. Imagine a man of 51 removing the clothes of a 6-year-old girl and slipping his erect penis between her thighs, rubbing her until he ejaculated and his semen ran down her thighs. To this day, this is considered a benevolent act on the part of the adult male “not wanting to harm her.” What harm could be inflicted upon a young girl mentally and emotionally if not a grown man showing her his penis and stripping her of her clothes and rubbing his male organ between her legs? Of course the twisted mind that does such an evil to a female child, would not hesitate to ejaculate on her body. And if this sexually perverted evil frame of mind committed such an act upon a child, the pedophile would not stop at ejaculating on her. His evil desire would go further and rape the child before she was a mature adult. This is exactly what Muhammad did to Aisha when she was yet a child of 9. Before she reached puberty, he began to have sex with her. Let us see what the fatwa said about the prophet of Islam and his child-bride, Aisha.”Praise be to Allah and peace be upon the one after whom there is no [further] prophet. After the permanent committee for the scientific research and fatwas (religious decrees) reviewed the question presented to the grand Mufti Abu Abdullah Muhammad Al-Shamari, with reference number 1809 issued on 3/8/1421(Islamic calendar). The inquirer asked the following: ‘It has become wide spread these days, and especially during weddings, the habit of mufakhathat of the children (mufakhathat literally translated means “placing between the thighs of children” which means placing the male erected penis between the thighs of a child). What is the opinion of scholars knowing full well that the prophet, the peace and prayers of Allah be upon him, also practiced the “thighing” of Aisha – the mother of believers ?’ After the committee studied the issue, they gave the following reply: ‘It has not been the practice of the Muslims throughout the centuries to resort to this unlawful practice that has come to our countries from pornographic movies that the kofar (infidels) and enemies of Islam send. As for the Prophet, peace and prayers of Allah be upon him, thighing his fiancée Aisha. She was six years of age and he could not have intercourse with her due to her small age. That is why the prophet peace and prayers of Allah be upon him placed his penis between her thighs and massaged it lightly, as the apostle of Allah had control of his penis not like other believers\'” (Fatwa No. 31409). Thighing of children is practiced in many Arab and Muslim countries, notably in Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Iran, and the Gulf countries. Also evil practices like altamatu’a bil almuka’aba (pleasure from sexual contact with her breasts), altamatu’a bil alsagirah (pleasure from sexual contact with a baby girl), altamatu’a bil alradi’ah, (pleasure from sexual contact with a suckling female infant), (Reported by Baharini Women’s Rights Activist, Ghada Jamshir) AISHA WASHING SEMEN FROM MUHAMMAD’S CLOTHES From the Hadith of Bukhari: Volume 1, Book 4, Number 229: Narrated ‘Aisha: I used to wash the traces of Janaba (semen) from the clothes of the Prophet and he used to go for prayers while traces of water were still on it (water spots were still visible). Volume 1, Book 4, Number 231: Narrated Sulaiman bin Yasar: I asked ‘Aisha about the clothes soiled with semen. She replied, “I used to wash it off the clothes of Allah’s Apostle and he would go for the prayer while water spots were still visible. ” Volume 1, Book 4, Number 232: Narrated ‘Amr bin Maimun: I heard Sulaiman bin Yasar talking about the clothes soiled with semen. He said that ‘Aisha had said, “I used to wash it off the clothes of Allah’s Apostle and he would go for the prayers while water spots were still visible on them. Volume 1, Book 4, Number 233: Narrated ‘Aisha: I used to wash the semen off the clothes of the Prophet and even then I used to notice one or more spots on them. MUHAMMAD RESERVED BABY AISHA FOR HIMSELF, BECAUSE SHE WAS A VIRGIN & HE WANTED A VIRGIN. Sahih al-Bukhari, volume 7, book 62, number 17 Narrated jabir bin ‘abdullah: When I got married, Allah’s apostle said to me, “what type of lady have you married?” I replied, “I have married a matron.” he said, “why, don’t you have a liking for the virgins and for fondling them?” Jabir also said: Allah’s apostle said, “why didn’t you marry a young girl so that you might play with her and she with you?” Hence, Muhammad’s comments indicate that his reason for marrying Aisha while a young virgin is so that he could fondle and sexually play with her! AISHA WAS NOT THE ONLY BABY GIRL MUHAMMAD FANTASIZED ABOUT In the classic history, Sirat Rasul Allah (The Life of Muhammad) by Ibn Ishaq, there is an account in which Muhammad expressed a marital interest in a crawling baby. This event seems to have occurred around the time of the battle of of Badr, when he was about 55 years old. He had married Aisha two years earlier, when he was 53 years of age. (Suhayli, ii. 79: in the Riwaya of Yunus i. I. Recorded that the apostle saw her (Ummu’lfadl) when she was a baby crawling before him and said, ‘if she grows up and I am still alive I will marry her.’ but he died before she grew up and sufyan b. Al-aswad b. ‘Abdu’l-asad al-Makhzumi married her and she bore him rizq and lubab… [Ibn Ishaq, The Life of Muhammad, Karachi, p. 311] Muhammad saw Um Habiba the daughter of Abbas while she was fatim (age of nursing) and he said, “if she grows up while I am still alive, I will marry her.” (Musnad Ahmad, number 25636) MUHAMMAD WOULD BATH & FONDLE AISHA Bukhari (6:298) – Muhammad would take a bath with the little Aisha and fondle her. Narrated ‘Aisha: The prophet and I used to take a bath from a single pot while we were junub. During the menses, he used to order me to put on an izar (dress worn below the waist) and used to fondle me. While in itikaf, he used to bring his head near me and I would wash it while I used to be in my periods (menses). MUHAMMAD CONSUMMATED HIS MARRIAGE TO BABY AISHA, WHEN SHE WAS 9 Sunaan abu Dawud: book 11, number 2161: Narrated Aisha, Ummul Mu’minin: I and the apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) used to lie in one cloth at night while I was menstruating. If anything from me smeared him, he washed the same place (that was smeared), and did not wash beyond it. If anything from him smeared his clothe, he washed the same place and did not wash beyond that, and prayed with it (i.e. The clothe). MUHAMMAD WOULD SEXUALLY ABUSE HIS WIVES Bukhari (6:300) – Muhammad’s wives had to be available for the prophet’s fondling even when they were having their menstrual period. Bukhari volume 1, book 6, number 299: Narrated ‘Abdur-rahman bin al-Aswad: …(on the authority of his father) ‘Aisha said: “Whenever Allah’s apostle wanted to fondle anyone of us during her periods (menses), he used to order her to put on an izar and start fondling her.” ‘Aisha added, “None of you could control his sexual desires as the prophet could.” WOMEN ARE SEXUAL OBJECTS Allah promoted this abusive sexual behavior: “Your women are a tilth for you (to cultivate) so go to your tilth as ye will” [Koran 2:223] Koran (2:223) likens a woman to a field (tilth), to be used by a man as he wills. In this verse, Allah also gives divine sanction for anal sex. According to Islam, Muhammad is the perfection of humanity and the prototype of the most wonderful human conduct. He had sex with Aisha at the age of nine, which amounts to rape of a minor. He also left behind an enduring legacy for aged Muslim men to fulfill their carnal desires contrary to natural law and to the life-long devastation of young girls. ALLAH PROMOTES PEDOPHILIA Quran 65.4 “and those of your women as have passed the age of monthly courses, for them the ‘iddah (prescribed divorce period), if you have doubts (about their periods), is three months, and for those who have no courses [(i.e. They are still immature) their ‘iddah (prescribed period) is three months likewise, except in case of death] . And for those who are pregnant (whether they are divorced or their husbands are dead), their ‘iddah (prescribed period) is until they deliver (their burdens) (give birth) and whosoever fears Allah and keeps his duty to him, he will make his matter easy for him.” Sura (65:4) lays down rules for divorce and sets the prescribed period for divorce. It clearly says, Muslim men can marry (and divorce) little girls who have not yet reached menstruation age. This means that Muslim men were allowed to marry baby girls. This is the eternal word of god. This is an eternal law of Allah. All Muslims must believe in this teaching. Otherwise, they are no longer Muslims but apostates of Islam. ALLAH ORDAINS RAPE “All married women (are forbidden unto you) save those (captives) whom your right hands possess.” 4:24 You can have sex with slaves women captured in war (with whom you may rape or do whatever you like). Muhammad established an appalling precedent for abuse of young girls which is continued to be nurtured by the Muslim faithful. For example, Ayatollah Khomeini of Iran gave a fatwa about Quran 65.4: “A man can marry a girl younger than nine years of age, even if the girl is still a baby being breastfed. A man, however is prohibited from having intercourse with a girl younger than nine, other sexual acts such as foreplay, rubbing, kissing and sodomy is allowed. A man having intercourse with a girl younger than nine years of age has not committed a crime, but only an infraction, if the girl is not permanently damaged. If the girl, however, is permanently damaged, the man must provide for her all her life. But this girl will not count as one of the man’s four permanent wives. He also is not permitted to marry the girl’s sister.” THIS IS NOW SUNNAH, BUT IS IT MORAL? Aisha was 9 lunar years old or 8 years 9 months old according to solar years when Muhammad slept with her. This is a fact demonstrated by a great number of hadiths. There is no controversy in that. There has never been until now that some of the Muslims have come in contact with western values and are ashamed to admit that their Prophet could commit such an indecency. They deny the facts and have made it a controversy. The majority of Muslims still have no problem with the young age of the Aisha and they ridicule these Modern day “moral relativists” who are twisting the truth to please the morality of the westerners. Only a few years ago Sheikh Baaz in Saudi Arabia issued a fatwa that any one who said the Earth is round is Kafir. Obviously this did not go very far but he started a controversy. So what is your opinion about the shape of the Earth? Would you stay out of it because it is a controversial issue? How about the evolution? There are many Muslims as well as Christians who do not agree with evolution. They believe in the Biblical and Quranic fables of Adam and Eve and the creation. This is a big controversy. Are you going to stay away from it? Is it a none-issue for you? Almost everything under the Sun is a controversial issue. From the death penalty to hunting, from spending money for space exploration to aiding the poor countries, everything is a controversy. Even the very subject of religion is a controversial issue. So you cannot walk away from responsibility when you are faced with controversies. I agree that morality is relative and we should not judge the ancient people’s morality with our modern morality. Obviously we all cringe when we think of pedophilia and acknowledge that it is a shameful act of immorality. But during the time of Muhammad, and even today in some Islamic countries, marrying a 9-year-old child is not immoral. In fact Aisha was given to Muhammad with the consent of her parents and no one raised an eyebrow. The question is, if having sexual intercourse with a nine year old child was not deemed bad and therefore was not considered immoral, was it ok? Not everything that a society accepts as moral is right. Having sex with a minor may not have been immoral for Arabs 1400 years ago, but it is now, as it was then, unethical. Moralities are defined by circumstances, but ethics transcend time and space. They are rooted in logics. Morality can vary from culture to culture, from time to time and from person to person. Who is to determine what is moral and what is not? “ Having sex with a minor may not have been immoral for Muhammad and his contemporaries in that uncivilized culture, but it was ethically wrong. If Muhammad was a messenger of God or an honorable man, as he made his Allah to proclaim him thus, he should have known that what he was doing was dishonorable and unethical. And that this practice would become SUNNAH. Although it is true that in the past people married at very young age. And it is also true that occasionally wealthy old men married very young girls. We have to realize that these people acted on their culture. We do not condemn them for they did not know better. What they did was the norm. But we do condemn those cultures. However, we cannot forgive with the same amnesty those who claimed to be the standard of rectitude amongst mankind. If average people could not distinguish the right from the wrong, the messengers of God, if they were from God, should have known better. If their claim was true, if their knowledge was divine, if they were inspired, they should not have followed the tradition of their people but should have set the example. Muhammad followed the morality of his people. But that morality was ethically wrong. He claimed to be the best human and the last messenger of God. According to him God has said to people all he wanted to say in the Quran and his religion is complete. There is no more guidance to come and his examples and teachings are all we need to know and follow for eternity. Yet what he did and said, under the light of modern values prove to be very wrong. Now we realize that we cannot live by his examples any more, nor can we practice his teachings. Our morality has changed. We would certainly put a man in jail if he wanted to follow the Sunnah of the “Holy Prophet” of Meccap in this day and age and “marry” a 9-year-old child. We would not allow someone to take people as slaves or trade in slavery as Muhammad did. If we cannot follow the morality of Muhammad any more, if what he said and did do not fit in this modern day, why do we need Muhammad? What part of his teachings should we accept and what part should we discard? Who will determine that? This is an important question. If Muslims give themselves the freedom to pick and choose the teachings that most suit them, they should give the same freedom to others. Suppose Muslims believe that marriage to a minor should be outlawed, or you do not feel that polygyny is appropriate any more for this day and age. Suppose Muslims disagree with slavery, male or female circumcision, beating of the wives and do not believe in Jihad any more. Suppose Muslims prefer to concentrate on other parts of Islam that they like, e.g. Salat, Zikat, Haj, etc. This is their choice. But can they deny other Muslims whose choices are distinct from theirs? How could these Muslims stop a Muslim who wants to follow those teachings of Islam that they consider outdated? By what authority can they dissuade one who wants to spread Islam by Jihad, like Muhammad did? How can they prohibit themm not to assault sexually a 9-year-old child by marrying her? What would they say to a Muslim who wishes to marry up to four wives and decides to punish them by beating them if they are disobedient, as the “Holy Prophet” of Mecca instructed them to do? If they use logic in picking the teachings that are best, they are saying that logic is superior to revelation and therefore they are subscribing to the freethinker’s way of thinking not Muhammad’s. Many Islamic countries have realized that true Islam is impractical. Very few of them can practice it faithfully; they all have modified it to certain extent and have incorporated secularism into their laws to make life bearable. Those that do follow Islam are Hell on Earth. Interestingly the civility and the progress of these countries are proportionate to the level of their secularization. In the Middle Ages, when religion had plunged Europe into the Dark Ages, Islamic countries were progressive and prosperous. This was possible because of the tolerance of the rulers of those days, their independence from the Mosque and their disinterest to implement Islam. Zakaria Ar-Razi, one of the greatest minds of Islamic world, attacked religion in general and Islam in particular with a force unthinkable in this day. He wrote: “The prophets—these Billy goats with long beards, cannot claim any intellectual or spiritual superiority. These Billy goats pretend to come with a message from God, all the while exhausting themselves in spouting their lies, and imposing on the masses blind obedience to the “words of the master.” The miracles of the prophets are impostures, based on trickery, or the stories regarding them are lies. The falseness of what all the prophets say is evident in the fact that they contradict one another: one affirms what the other denies, and yet each claims to be the sole depository of the truth; thus the New Testament contradicts the Torah, the Koran the New Testament. As for the Koran, it is but an assorted mixture of “absurd and inconsistent fables,” which has ridiculously been judged inimitable, when, in fact, its language, style, and its much vaunted “eloquence” are far from being faultless. Custom, tradition, and intellectual laziness lead men to follow their religious leaders blindly. Religions have been the sole cause of the bloody wars that have ravaged mankind. Religions have also been resolutely hostile to philosophical speculation and to scientific research. The so-called holy scriptures are worthless and have done more harm than good, whereas the “writings of the ancients like Plato, Aristotle, Euclid, and Hippocrates have rendered much greater service to humanity.” THIS KIN D OF CRITICISM OF ISLAM TODAY, WOULD CARRY THE DEATH SENTENCE! Can any intellectual speak so freely against Islam calling the prophets “Billy Goats” as Ar-Razi called them disdainfully in these days and live? Does the fatwa against Salman Rushdie ring a bell? It is clear that in those days of the golden age of Islam, Islamic countries enjoyed a freedom and a level of secularization that has since disappeared. And along with that, the glory of Islamic world also has ebbed. Islam can be used as an index of barbarity and backwardness. The more a country applies Islam, the more uncivilized and uncultured it becomes. I have no doubt that if Islam was eliminated completely, we’ll regain the past glory of those secular days and even surpass it. There is no reason to believe that the black-eyed race of Middle East is inferior to the blue-eyed Europeans. The number of Middle Eastern scientists, academics and scholars in the West is an indication that given the opportunity they are no less intelligent than any other race. The reason that they are backward, uncivilized and barbaric in their native countries is because Islam has taken away their dignity, humanity and intelligence. MUHAMMAD’S NIGHT JOURNEY No Muslim can deny the importance of Mohammed’s night journey in Islam, because this trip determined the Islamic rituals of praying five times a day, and performing ablution – or washing before prayer. In other words Mohammed’s night journey should impact the lives of 1.5 billion Muslims all over the world – five times – each and every day. Qur’an, sura 17.1 “Glory to (Allah) Who did take His servant for a Journey by night from the Sacred Mosque to the farthest Mosque, whose precincts We did bless,- in order that We might show him some of Our Signs: for He is the One Who heareth and seeth (all things)”. Mohammed’s alleged overnight trip covered the 1,000 miles from Mecca to Jerusalem, a trip to heaven, and a return to Mecca by morning, and is described in part as follows: Sahih Muslim, Book 001, Number 0309: It is narrated on the authority of Anas b. Malik that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: I was brought al-Buraq Who is an animal white and long, larger than a donkey but smaller than a mule, who would place his hoof a distance equal to the range of vision. I mounted it and came to the Temple (Bait Maqdis in Jerusalem), then tethered it to the ring used by the prophets. I entered the mosque and prayed two rak’ahs in it, and then came out and Gabriel brought me a vessel of wine and a vessel of milk. So Mohammed flew on al-Buraq to the temple in Jerusalem, tied it up to a ring “the prophets” had used in the past, and went on in to the Temple to pray. Because of the fantastic nature of Mohammed’s claims, some 21st century Muslims try to suggest that this was a vision or dream, but according to perhaps the most highly regarded historian of Islam: Sahih al-Bukhari, Volume 5, Book 58, Number 228: Narrated Ibn ‘Abbas: The sights which Allah’s Apostle was shown on the Night Journey when he was taken to Bait-ul-Maqdis (i.e. Jerusalem) were actual sights, (not dreams). And the Cursed Tree (mentioned) in the Quran is the tree of Zaqqum (itself). Additionally, the rock enshrined in the Dome of the Rock on the temple mount, is supposed to be where Mohammed and Baraq launched from, for the leg of the trip to heaven. So it would be untenable to suggest that Mohammed’s journey was a dream or vision, while at the same time claiming that he launched from a very much physical and tangible rock, on the temple mount. Doubtless there were many skeptics when Mohammed recounted the details of his trip the morning after his night journey on the flying animal. As Dr. Rafat Amari points out in the introduction to “Islam: In Light of History”, Abu Bakar (the first assistant of Mohammed who became his first Caliph) confirmed Mohammed’s descriptions of the temple he had visited, because Abu Baker claimed he had once taken a journey to Jerusalem and had seen the temple himself, and remembered it to be just as Mohammed had described it. There is, however, a little difficulty with their accounts. The temple had been torn down over 500 years before their claims of personal visits to it. Indeed if Mohammed had actually hitched his flying animal anywhere near where the temple had been, as he claimed “the prophets” had hitched theirs, at the time in history that his night flight is supposed to have occurred, he would have found that the temple mount was being used as a garbage dump. The Muslim’s own Caliph Omar would have observed this when he marched into Jerusalem in 639 AD, not very many years after Mohammed offered his account detailed above. While Mohammed and Bakr didn’t need to be concerned about their largely illiterate followers traveling the 1,000 miles from Mecca to Jerusalem, to scrutinize their accounts, what excuse do today’s Muslims have in this 21st century information age? “In light of all this, we ask the following questions: * What Temple did Muhammad visit, enter and pray at before ascending to heaven? * Seeing that the Quran mentions a journey to a Mosque that did not exist during the lifetime of Muhammad, how can you consider the Quran to be 100% the word of God? * In light of the fact that both the Quran and the Islamic traditions contain this historical error, how can you trust either source to provide you with reliable information on the life of Muhammad and the first Muslims? * Does not the fact that the Quran mentions a Mosque which was only erected in AD 691 prove that there were Muslims who unashamedly and deceitfully added stories to the Quranic text and passed them off as revelation from God? * If you cannot find an answer to this historical problem within the Quran, why do you still remain a Muslim?” FLYING ANIMALS Flying camels, or baraqs, were nothing new to Islamic tradition. It was how they explained away the transportation impossibilities that resulted from the fictional history the Islamic “historians” had created. For example it was one of these mythical flying camels that enabled Abraham to pay visits to his son Ishmael in Mecca, a 1000 miles away. Islamic tradition also holds that it was a Baraq that enabled Ishmael to attend his father Abraham’s funeral in Hebron. Are we beginning to get the picture? Any time the thousand miles between Mecca and Israel presented the obvious geographical impossibility, of any suggestion of Abraham or Ishmael ever having been in Mecca, simply break out the flying camel! Hmmm But then the flying camel wasn’t invented by Muslim historians but had been in mythology from long before. It was utilized in Persian Zoroastrian mythology. Quoting Dr. Amari “The Pahlavi Texts of the book of Dinkard are Zoroastrian canonical comments on the Avesta, considered part of the Zoroastrian scriptures. It mentioned KaiKhusrois, a mythological prophet who transformed Vae, the god of the air, into the shape of a camel. He then mounted him and went where the immortal mythological Persians dwelt.” Indeed, when combined with the “Mecca” page, what we learn is that every Muslim on earth, bows toward and is supposed to travel to and circumambulate, the very same black stone moon god idol, that the pagans bowed toward and circumambulated before Mohammed. Now we learn that the reason that Muslims bow toward that black stone idol five times a day, and wash before doing so, is because Mohammed claimed to have taken a trip on a flying animal. Beyond the obvious questions about flying animals, that even an 8 year old might ask, Mohammed’s visit to and prayer in a temple, is also shown to be a physical impossibility. Some suggest it was a reference to the mosque that was built on the temple mount, but no “prophets” ever tied camels up to that mosque, let alone that it wasn’t built until 685 AD, long after Mohammed was dead and buried. The real reason Muslims pray five times a day and perform ablution, is likely because Mohammed became deeply involved in the second century occult cult of the Sabians, by way of four of his relatives. This cult apparently had so much influence over Mohammed’s daily life, that some in his own tribe referred to him as “the Sabian”. In the Quran Mohammed lists Sabians right alongside Christians and Jews. Qur’an, surah 2:62 “Those who believe (in the Qur’an), and those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Christians and the sabians,- any who believe in Allah and the Last Day…” Qur’an, surah 5:69 “Those who believe (in the Qur’an), those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the sabians and the Christians…” And guess what? The occult Sabian cult prayed five times a day and performed ablution. Excerpt from “Occultism in the family of Mohammed” “Waraqa was one of the founders of the group called Ahnaf. In the first narration of the life of Mohammed, written by Ibn Hisham in the 8th century A.D., we read: The Honafa’, or Ahnaf, was a small group started when four Sabians at Mecca agreed. Those four were Zayd bin Amru bin Nafil, Waraqa bin Naufal, Ubaydullah bin Jahsh, and Uthman Bin al-Huwayrith.[xxxi][31] The four founders of Ahnaf were all related to Mohammed. They were descendants of Loayy, one of Mohammed’s ancestors. Furthermore, Waraqa bin Naufal and Uthman Bin al-Huwayrith were cousins of Khadijah. We know this from Mohammed’s genealogy presented by Ibn Hisham.[xxxii][32] Ubaydullah Bin Jahsh was a maternal cousin to Mohammed. Mohammed married his widow, Um Habibeh. All this reveals the close connection between Mohammed and the founders of the group.” Before fundamental, Quran and Hadith following – true Muslims – received Western financing through oil purchase to expand their murder of innocent non-Muslims all around the world – with 2 million killed in the Sudan alone by the Islamic beast during this Islamic Second Jihad – the only thing I would have likely recalled knowing about Arabia would have been what I learned as a child. This would include stories like Aladdin’s lamp from which a genie emerged when it was rubbed, and Ali Baba and his magic flying carpet. Interesting now in adulthood to learn about Mohammed’s night flight that 1.5 billion people are not only expected to believe, but also to follow, five times a day.
