On 12th of July 2013, Ross Colvin and Sruthi Gottipati from Reuters interviewed present Chief Minister of Gujarat and most desirable candidate for Prime Minister of India in 2014 general election as per the various polls by Indian Media, Shri Narendra Modi. A question was posed to Modiji by the interviewer that do he regret what happened in 2002 Gujarat riots. His answer and remarks triggered uproar in Indian Media and in present government of India which is led by Congress. The question and Modi ji’s remark is as following:
Do you regret what happened?
ANSWER: I’ll tell you. India’s Supreme Court is considered a good court today in the world. The Supreme Court created a special investigative team (SIT) and top-most, very bright officers who overlook oversee the SIT. That report came. In that report, I was given a thoroughly clean chit, a thoroughly clean chit. Another thing, any person if we are driving a car, we are a driver, and someone else is driving a car and we’re sitting behind, even then if a puppy comes under the wheel, will it be painful or not? Of course it is. If I’m a chief minister or not, I’m a human being. If something bad happens anywhere, it is natural to be sad. [Source]
On this remark by Modiji, there was flood of reaction by opponents and ruling party, I am enlisting here few of them:
SP spokesman Kamal Farooqui said: “It is a very sad, very humiliating and very disturbing statement… What does he [Modi] think, that Muslims are worse than even puppies? He does not have a heart for them. He should feel sorry… He should apologise.”
Communist Party of India (Marxist) leader Brinda Karat said, “The expression of regret just doesn’t come to Modi … There is something wrong fundamentally what he is saying.”
Congress leader and External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid said Mr. Modi was “gradually becoming his own worst enemy.” If he felt he was “misinterpreted,” he should talk less.
I feel pity on these leaders who are criticizing Modi for his puppy remark, I feel that these people don’t even deserve to be leader of the Junior Classes in School, how can they become national face, when they don’t even understand such a simple statement. This all is being done as a part of vote bank politics, as these parties don’t have enough credit on their name in field of development, employment and good leadership, so all they have is to criticize Modi to fool Indian Muslims to gain their vote. This is what the interviewer (Sruthi Gottipati) said after all the controversy started after the interview:
An unknown friend beautifully explained with an example, how the mind of these pseudo-secular, anti-development, and corrupt leaders work :
Question: Do you beat your kids?
Answer: Well,i don’t even beat my puppy.
Media/Pseudo-Seculars: OMG, u r comparing your kids to dog?
The same logic goes with Modi Ji’s remark, he never said that Muslims are dogs, nor he said that he treated Muslims as dogs or puppies, but its our paid media and pseudo-secular and anti-nationalist leaders who are putting these word in Modi Ji’s mouth. It is Congress and anti-Modi leaders who are comparing his puppy with Muslims, all to gain vote from Muslims.
All Modi Ji wanted to say that he is among those humans, who even feel pain for death of a small puppy, who is uncared by other people (especially from leaders of Congress and their allies), then think of pain he must have gone through after the riots. The same thing was even explained later by BJP spokesperson, but still Congress and their allies have got a chance to gain vote by defaming the most humanist leader of India. BJYM president and BJP spokesman Anurag Thakur on Monday said that it’s Samajwadi Party and Congress comparing Muslims with dogs, not Modi.
Now its upto Indian Muslims and other pseudo-secular Hindus to understand that its Congress and its allies who are appeasing them to gain their vote, and in return of which they will give India another dozen of promises, Scams and Ghotalas, and with CBI in their pocket, they will be never punished. So its time for a change, think of better future. Think of better and corruption free India. Think of developed India.
