A Hindu woman who has been converted to Islam without her knowledge is facing persecution for the authorities for practicing her faith.

Madinah-Kanniammah-Abdullah-300x202SUBANG JAYA: An illiterate Hindu woman has been converted to Islam without her knowledge and only found out through the National Registration Department (NRD).

Madinah Kanniammah Abdullah, 54, who lives in a rundown longhouse settlement in Kampung Bunga Raya, Subang, said she had never been a Muslim.

The mother of five told FMT that her problems started when she got into a relationship with an Indian national when she was a teen.

“I was 19 then and was in love with a man from India. He told me that he was Hindu and even prays in temples.

“We lived together for a week and that was when I found out he was a Muslim,” she said.

Madinah said her boyfriend took her identification card on the pretext of opening a bank account for her.

“But when he returned the IC I noticed that my name had been changed. When I asked him he said it was the correct spelling of my name in Malay,” she said.

Madinah found out later that her new IC indicated her as a Muslim, after a check with the NRD.

“I can’t read and write. So how could I possibly have signed any documents?” she asked.

She said she used thumbprints and could not recall signing any marriage documents with the Muslim man.

Years later, Madinah married a local Hindu in a customary wedding and started having problems when her first child was born.

“I had a tough time trying to register him as a Hindu in his birth certificate because of my Muslim name on the IC.

“Due to this problem, my eldest son is registered as a Muslim,” she said.

Fearing that her other children will end up registered as Muslims, Madinah decided not to get MyKads for her other children.

One of her sons will not be able to sit for the PMR examination next month, while one daughter may have to skip her SPM examinations next year as they do not have MyKads.

“Their future is in jeopardy because they do not have MyKads,” Madinah added.

Outcast

She said her husband was bedridden due to illness and being taken care of by his mother.

She said she was being treated like an outcast by her in-laws and her own family out of fear of getting into trouble with the religious authorities.

“I am being blamed for ruining my children’s lives as my eldest son is registered as a Muslim,” she added.

Madinah said she faced harassment from the religious authorites and the police.

“We do not go out from our home besides going to work and school. Sometimes my children get caught for not having MyKads or eating during Ramadan.

“My family is treated like refugees” she said.

Madinah said she had highlighted her plight to the MIC before but nothing was done.

“The whole longhouse settlement voted for MIC and I personally urged others to vote for the party candidate upon listening to their promises,” she said.

Madinah urged the government to look into her plight and allow her family to practise the faith of their choice.

“ I was born as Hindu and I want to die as one,” she said.

        Are the Shia Considered Muslims? A Balanced Answer

        This question–about whether or not the Imami Shia are Muslim–is a very emotional one. The humble author of this article is not qualified to pass verdicts on such matters; however, this article will merely serve as a purview of all the various opinions cited by qualified Sunni scholarship, and to hopefully make sense of it all in a constructive manner.
        The truth of the matter is that the answer to this question cannot be a simple “yes” or a “no.” Unfortunately, some “conservative” Sunnis will jump to declare all Shia to be Kufaar (disbelievers) and engage in Takfeer of all Shia they come in contact with. On the other hand, some “liberal” Sunnis will reflexively defend all Shia no matter how odious or deviant their beliefs are, including even their Ayatollahs and leaders. Indeed, to draw a hasty conclusion is not appropriate; Imam Ibn Abidin states:
        “It is difficult to make a general statement and judge all the Shia to be disbelievers.” (Radd al-Muhtar, 4/453)
        Some Shia are considered Muslims, and some Shia are considered Kufaar. Various Shia have different beliefs: some have beliefs which constitute Kufr, whereas others do not. Shaykh Muhammad ibn Adam al-Kawthari says:
        According to the classical and the majority of contemporary scholars, there are two types of Shi’as:
        a)Those that hold beliefs that constitute disbelief (kufr)…shi’as that hold such beliefs are without a doubt out of the fold of Islam.
        b)Those who do not hold beliefs that constitute Kufr…Such Shi’as can not be termed as out of the fold of Islam, rather they are considered to be severely deviated and transgressors (fisq).

        Shaikh Abdul Wahab al-Turayree, a professor of Al-Imam University, says:
        We cannot say that all the Shî`ah are unbelievers. On the other hand, there are many sects of the Shî`ah who advance claims that are tantamount to unbelief. Anyone who believes such things would be an unbeliever.

        Shaikh Muhammad Salih Al-Munajjid of Islam-qa.com says:
        What we say about interacting with the Shi’ah depends on the situation. The innovated beliefs of the Shi’ah vary.         Therefore, depending on his beliefs, a Shia person can be Muslim or Kaafir. What then are the beliefs which constitute Kufr? There are quite a few beliefs which constitute Kufr that would take one outside the folds of Islam, but we shall herein only discuss those relevant to the Sunni-Shia dialogue.
        (1) The superiority of the Imams over the Prophets.
        This is perhaps the most important issue. It is in fact the crux of the debate between Sunni and Shia. The doctrine of Imamah (i.e. belief in twelve Infallible Imams) is what separates the Shia from mainstream Islam. Too often than not, Sunnis will argue that Shia are disbelievers because they curse the Sahabah or something else along those lines, but in reality, the focus of the debate should be around the issue of Imamah.
        Shaikh Ahmad Rida Khan quoted by Sunni Path states:
        Shi`ah fall into three categories:
        1. ghâli (ghulât): they repudiate the necessities of religion…[They are Kaafir because they] elevate Sayyiduna Ali and other Imams above the Prophets…[They are Kaafir even] if these Imams are held to be higher than even ONE prophet….
        Those who hold the above and other such statements that amount to disbelief are Kaafirs by Ijma (consensus). All dealings with them are similar to those with apostates. It is in fatawa Dharhiriyyah, Fatawa Hindiyyah, Hadiqatun Nadiyyah: they are to be dealt with as apostates.
        Nowadays, most of the Rafidhis (i.e. Shia) fall into this category. Their scholars and commoners, men and woman–all of them seem to profess the aforementioned beliefs–except Allâh willing–otherwise.

        Shaikh Ahmad Rida Khan has hereby stated that–according to him–most of the Shia alive today possess this belief and are therefore Kufaar. The author of this article agrees with him, but would like to point out that this may not be the case in the West: it seems that most Shia commoners living in North America and Europe have a more “filtered” version of Shi’ism, so whereas most Shia worldwide may hold such a belief, the Western Shia may differ in this. In any case, what we have established thus far is the fact that the belief that any of the Imams are superior to even one Prophet is Kufr.
        It should be noted that this concept is not peculiar or particular to the Shia, but rather to any person in general. If, for example, a Sunni were to claim that Abu Bakr was equal to or superior to Prophet Musa, then this would be grounds for Kufr. Muslims believe that the Prophets and Messengers are the highest in ranks amongst humanity, and that no person can rival them in this honor, neither can they be superior to them nor can they even equal them in status. It is, after all, for this reason that the Ahmadis are declared to be Kufaar, namely because they believe in a person who has a rank equal to or higher than the Prophets.
        It should be noted that all the Shia Maraje’ (top scholars) are agreed upon the fact that the Imams are superior to the Prophets, aside from Prophet Muhammad. For an indepth analysis of this Shia belief, please read this article: Imams Superior to Prophets.
        However, although the Shia scholarship is agreed upon this doctrine, the laity amongst the Shia (i.e. the masses) may be unaware of this. In fact, it has been my observation that most Shia lay-persons and commoners in the West have no idea at all about this belief. Many of them are even shocked if someone were to claim that the Imams are superior to Prophets. It has happened on numerous occassions that a Shia lay-person would accuse a Sunni of lying if the latter were to state that the Shia believe that Imamah is superior to Prophethood. Indeed, I have no doubt that most Shia lay-persons who read this article will themselves deny this fact, and therefore I strongly urge them to read the link above so that they can have the definitive proof of the beliefs of the Shia scholarship.
        In conclusion, the Shia scholars are Kufaar because they believe that their Imams are superior to the Prophets. This includes their Ayatollahs, such as Khomeini, Khameini, Sistani, etc. It should be noted that these Shia scholars base this position on the Shia religious texts, which are very clear on this matter. The Shia Hadith literature and classical books state–in no uncertain terms–that their twelve Imams are superior to the Prophets (aside from Prophet Muhammad).
        However, the lay-persons, commoners, and masses of Shia–especially in the West–may not be aware of these religious texts, nor are they aware of the position of the scholars whom they supposedly do Taqleed upon. In a way, this ignorance is understandable. The masses of any faith are oftentimes not in tune with the actual beliefs written in the religious texts and held by the classical scholars. This holds true for Sunnis as well. For example, most Sunni lay-persons are completely unaware of the fact that music is Haram. However, the Sunni texts are clear on this matter and clearly state that music is Haram, and this is the view held by the Sunni scholars.
        In other words, just because the Sunni masses believe one thing, this does not mean that this conforms to what the Sunni religious texts say or what the Sunni scholars believe. Likewise, just because the Shia masses in the West may not believe that their Imams are superior to the Prophets does not mean that this is what Shi’ism itself says. Most Muslim lay-persons may say one thing, but Islam can say another thing. Like I mentioned earlier, most Muslim lay-persons would say that music is Halal, but Islam actually says that music is Haram. Similarly, most Shia lay-persons would say that their Imams are not superior to Prophets, but Shi’ism actually says otherwise.
        Any Shia person who understands this belief and adheres to it (i.e. the superiority of Imams over Prophets) is a Kaafir. It would not be an over-exaggeration to say that a Shia lay-person could become a Kaafir simply by reading this article and the one I gave the link to. The reason I make such a bold claim is that prior to reading these two articles, a Shia person may not have been aware of the fact that Shi’ism holds that Imams are superior to Prophets. But now I have shown him that indeed this is what Shi’ism says about this matter. If such a Shia reader were to now adopt this viewpoint, then indeed he would become a Kaafir.
        In other words, a Shia person’s ignorance of his own faith could serve as a protection in the sense that such a person is not a Kaafir because he does not believe in those parts of his religion which constitute Kufr. I would say that the masses of Shia in the West are unaware of this belief of theirs, and are therefore considered to be Muslims. It is only those who are aware of such a belief and adhere to it that would be outside the folds of Islam. The Shia scholarship are Kufaar but we do not say that the Shia masses are.
        (2) Claiming that a person after Prophet Muhammad received revelation from Allah like a Prophet.
        This is another belief which constitutes Kufr. Ibn Juzayy al-Kalbi was asked what were the agreed upon acts which would constitute exiting the faith. To this, he stated:
        “Claiming that a person after the time of Prophet Muhammad ibn Abdullah is a real Prophet from Allah…Included in this is claiming that one has received revelation from Allah like a Prophet.”

        The reality is that the Shia believe that their Imams received revelation from Allah like Prophets. However, they will not readily admit this fact and will in fact seek out loopholes to defend their beliefs, playing word games, and such stuff. Hence, I do not find any need to dwell on this matter, since it is much easier to prove the first belief above. The only reason I am mentioning this here is that it should be established firmly that it is a belief of the Muslims that no divinely appointed figure exists after Prophet Muhammad, and the belief in Imams is in contradiction to this.
        (3) The Quran is incomplete.
        Publically, the Shia will vehemently deny that they believe that the Quran is incomplete. The truth of the matter is that many of the Shia Maraje’ (top scholars) do believe in Tahreef (tampering) of the Quran, but they hide this fact due to Taqiyyah and Kitman. And there may be many Shia people who do indeed hold such a belief but they hide this fact. If this is the case, then we cannot declare them to be Kufaar, as we were not sent to judge what is in the hearts and only Allah knows what are the true intentions of people. Shaikh Muhammad ibn Adam al-Kawthari says:
        It should be remarked here that some members of the Shi’a community display outwardly not to have believes that constitute Kufr, but keep these beliefs in their heart, which they call Taqiyya.
        The case with such people is that if they did have such beliefs that constitute Kufr in their heart but outwardly denied them, then even though according to Allah and in hereafter they will be regarded as non-Muslims, but we will judge them according to their outward statements and actions.
        The Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) is reported to have said:
        “I have been ordered to judge people according to their outward condition”

        In common discourse, the Shia polemicists will vehemently deny such a belief, and it is only through a very tiresome process that we prove to them that Tahreef is a part of their faith. Therefore, once again, I would not advise bringing up this topic when discussing whether or not Shia are Muslim or not. Since the vast majority of Shia do not adhere to this belief, discussing this issue will only cause digression and tangential argumentation.
        (4) Cursing the Sahabah.
        Many hold the belief that cursing the Sahabah constitutes Kufr. However, this is an oversimplification of the issue, one which in fact weakens the position of the Ahlus Sunnah. A Shia propagandist would be very quick to show that in fact the Sahabah did fight amongst each other and one Sahabah would sometimes call another by a name, or the Prophet’s wives might do such a thing, etc. Therefore, we should be clearer and more specific instead of simply saying that cursing the Sahabah constitutes Kufr.
        Mufti Ebrahim Desai’s student says the following:
        The issue of abusing the Sahabah (Radhiyallahu anhum) takes on various forms. Hereunder follows some related points.
        1. It is Haraam to abuse the Sahabah (Radhiyallahu anhum)
        2. Normally, a person who does so is sinning, but would not be a Kaafir.
        3. If, Allah forbid, a person falsely accuses Hadhrat Aaisha (Radhiyallahu anha) or any of the other Ummahaatul Mu’mineen of Zinaa, he is a Kaafir.
        4. If, Allah forbid, a person says that most or all of the Sahabah (Radhiyallahu anhum) became murtad (renegade) after Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), or become sinners after him, such a person is a Kaafir.
        5. If one considers it permissible to abuse the Sahabah(Radhiyallahu anhum), such a person is Kaafir.
        6. If one regards it as a light matter to abuse the Sahabah (Radhiyallahu anhum), such a person is a kaafir.

        Shaikh Muhammad Salih Al-Munajjid of Islam-qa.com says:
        Some of the scholars explained in detail what is meant by hating the Sahaabah. They said: If a person hates some of them for some worldly reason, then that is not kufr and hypocrisy, but if it is for a religious reason, because they were the companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), then undoubtedly this is hypocrisy.
        Shaikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah said:
        If a person slanders them [i.e. the Sahaabah] in a way that does not impugn their good character or religious commitment, such as describing one of them as being stingy or cowardly or lacking in knowledge or not being an ascetic and so on, then he deserves to be rebuked and disciplined, but we do not rule him to be a kaafir because of that. This is how the words of those who were not regarded as kaafirs by the scholars are to be understood.
        If a person curses them and slanders them in general terms, this is an area of scholarly dispute, depending on whether this cursing is motivated by mere feelings or religious doctrines. If a person goes beyond that and claims that they apostatized after the death of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), apart from a small group of no more than ten or so individuals, or that most of them rebelled and did evil, then there is no doubt that such a person is a kaafir, because he has denied what is stated in more than one place in the Qur’aan, that Allaah was pleased with them and praised them. Indeed whoever doubts that such a person is a kaafir is himself a kaafir, because this implies that those who transmitted the Qur’aan and Sunnah were kaafirs or evildoers and that the best of this ummah which is described in the verse “You are the best of peoples ever raised up for mankind” [Aal ‘Imraan 3:110 – interpretation of the meaning] – the first generation – were mostly kaafirs and hypocrites. It implies that this ummah is the worst of nations, and that the first generations of this ummah are the most evil. No doubt this is blatant kufr, the evidence for which is quite clear.
        Hence you will find that most of those who proclaim such views will sooner or later be shown to be heretics. Heretics usually conceal their views, but Allaah has punished some of them to make an example of them, and there are many reports that they were turned into pigs in life and in death. The scholars have compiled such reports, such as al-Haafiz al-Saalih Abu ‘Abd-Allaah Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Waahid al-Maqdisi, in his book al-Nahi ‘an Sabb al-Ashaab in which he narrated the punishments that befell such heretics.
        In conclusion, there are some groups of those who slander the Sahaabah concerning who them is no doubt that they are kaafirs, others who cannot be judged to be kaafirs, and others concerning whom there is some doubt regarding that.

        Taqiy al-Deen al-Subki said:
        … This refers to one who slanders some of the Sahaabah. But if a person slanders all of the Sahaabah, then he is undoubtedly a kaafir. The same applies if he slanders one of the Sahaabah just because he is a Sahaabi, because this is demeaning the virtue of the Sahaabah and indirectly slandering the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). So undoubtedly the person who does this is a kaafir. Based on this, the words of al-Tahhaawi, “and hating them is kufr” should be understood as meaning that hating all of the Sahaabah is undoubtedly kufr, but if a person slanders a Sahaabi not because he is a Sahaabi but for some personal reason…
        The reason for the scholarly dispute on this issue is if a person slanders a specific person it may be for some personal reason, or he may hate someone for a worldly reason etc. This does not imply that he is a kaafir. But undoubtedly if he hates one of the two Shaykhs because he was a companion of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), then this is kufr, and indeed hating any of the Sahaabah who was lower in status than two Shaykhs just because he was a companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) is also definitely kufr.

        In fact, this has always been the position of the Ahlus Sunnah on the matter. Therefore, we should not misrepresent ourselves when we state that cursing the Sahabah is Kufr, but rather we should clarify this position and make it clear.
        Based on the above, we see that it is Kufr to hate the Sahabah if any of the following conditions are met:
        (a) One hates all of the Sahabah or at least the vast majority of them. (This could apply to the Shia, many of whom claim that the vast majority of the Sahabah apostatized.)
        (b) One hates a Sahabi for the fact that he is a Companion of the Prophet. (This could apply to Non-Muslims, such as Abu Jahl, who would hate anyone who became one of the Prophet’s friends.)
        (c) One hates a Sahabi for some religious reason such as believing that he usurped the divinely appointed role of Imamah. (This no doubt applies to the Ithna Ashari Shia. Notice how the Zaidis believe that Ali was better suited to be the Caliph than Abu Bakr, but they do not believe that this is a religious difference but rather a political one. Therefore, we do not pass a verdict of Kufr on them for this. The Ithna Ashari, on the other hand, claims that this is a religious issue, one decided upon by Allah Himself.)
        (d) One who curses a Sahabi is sinning, but the one who thinks that it is permissible to curse Sahabah is Kaafir irrespective of if he himself does that or not. (This most definitely applies to the Shia, who believe that it is permissible to curse the Sahabah.)
        The reason that these things constitute Kufr is because they are disbelieving in the verse in the Quran in which Allah says “You are the best of peoples ever raised up for mankind” (Quran, 3:110) and “And the first to embrace Islam, of the Muhajirs and the Ansars, and also those who followed them exactly (in Faith). Allah is well-pleased with them as they are well pleased with Him. He has prepared for them Gardens under which rivers flow, to dwell therein forever.” (Quran, 9:100) And many other such verses. Because these verses are stated in the general sense, we only say that it is Kufr to make general condemnations of the Sahabah. However, Abu Bakr and Aisha were mentioned in the Quran specifically, in verse 9:40 and verses 24:11-26 respectively. Abu Bakr was declared the companion of the Prophet, and Aisha was declared innocent of adultery.
        Imam Ibn Abidin states:
        “There is no doubt in the disbelief (kufr) of those that falsely accuse Sayyida Aisha (Allah be pleased with her) of adultery, deny the Companionship of Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (Allah be pleased with him)…”
        And some scholars extend these verses to encompass other beliefs, such as negating those who say that Abu Bakr was evil or sinful (as the Prophet says in that verse that “Allah is with us”) or accusing Aisha of other things (because Allah says “Allah warns you not to repeat the like of it again”).
        This debate is beyond the scope of this article and the abilities of this humble author. Indeed, I am simply trying to prove the point that it is a much more involved topic than simply saying “whoever curses the Sahabah is Kaafir.” Having said that, realistically the Shia scholars would be Kufaar based on their slander of the Prophet’s wives and Sahabah based on the above conditions. However, it is unclear as to what the average Shia lay-person believes on such a matter and whether or not he understands the gravity of his belief. It is likely that the average Shia lay-person will deny having hatred for the Sahabah in general, and therefore, this is a dead-end issue to debate.
        (5) Other strange beliefs.
        Historically, various Shia sects have held many strange beliefs, such as that Ali is God, or that Angel Jibraeel made a mistake, or that Allah lies, etc. However, because the mainstream Shia do not believe in these things any more, it serves no point to dwell on these matters. And there are many other beliefs which the Shia do believe in which commonly come up in this debate. However, I strongly believe that none of them are important to discuss except the first issue which I stated, namely the superiority of Imams over Prophets.
        The Ruling
        The question about Shia and their position as Muslims (or not) is a multi-factorial issue. The crux of the issue, however, is the matter of Imamah and its superiority over Risalah (Prophethood). This is the one issue that the Shia scholars do not shy away from. They will do Taqiyyah when it comes to Tahreef of the Quran, they will obfuscate when it comes to Imams receiving revelation, they will become catty when it comes to hating the Sahabah, play word games on other issues, etc. But the issue about Imamah is one that the Shia scholarship has clearly stated, and it is this issue which casts out the Shia scholars into the realm of Kufr. Having said that, the bulk of the Shia lay-persons (at least in the West) are unaware of this belief and therefore do not believe in it. As such, they are not disbelievers and we should regard them as Muslims.
        Fatwa of Shaikh Mahmood Shaltoot
        There is one fatwa that has become notorious in the Sunni-Shia dialogue, namely the religious edict passed by Shaikh Mahmood Shaltoot of Al-Azhar who claimed that the Jaffari Madhab was an acceptable “fifth Madhab.” Invariably, this fatwa will be recycled in the Sunni-Shia debates. However, this fatwa has absolutely no value because it was categorically denounced by the Sunni scholarship en masse. One scholar’s errant opinion cannot refute the Ijma (consensus) of the scholars, but rather it is disregarded as baseless. Shaikh Faraz Rabbani responded to this claim of a “fifth Madhab” by saying:
        “Jafari fiqh is not accepted as a sound school of law by Sunni scholarship.”

        Sidi Musa wrote a refutation of this bogus fatwa entitled “Myth of the Fifth Madhab”, saying:
        “There is no fifth madhhab in addition to the four madhahib of Ahl Al-Sunnah…there is no madhhab in addition to the four madhhahib of Ahl Al-Sunnah that is permissible for Muslims to follow…Can one, for example, follow the madhhab of Twelver Shi`a? …The answer is, quite clearly, no.”
        In the second introduction to “The Reliance Of The Traveler” it is stated in regards to any so-called “fifth Madhab”:
        “Ibn Salah reports that there is scholarly consensus on its [sic] being unlawful to follow”
        The Shia propagandists will chime in that the fatwa advocating the “fifth Madhab” was passed by the prestigious Al-Azhar University. What they fail to mention is that after that errant fatwa passed by that one Shaikh, Al-Azhar University passed another fatwa many years later rebuffing the earlier fatwa. In fact, it is well-known that Shaikh Mahmood Shaltoot was influenced by a Shia lobbyist of Dar al-Taqrib named Muhammad Taqi al-Qummi; although we respect the scholars, everyone makes mistakes and it is not acceptable to follow a scholar who has an errant opinion on a matter. Shaikh Nuh Keller called it “madness” to follow such a fatwa advocating a “fifth Madhab”.
        Disbelievers or People of Deviation
        There is no valid opinion amongst the Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama’ah that would place the Shia in any fifth Madhab, but rather there are only two opinions on the matter. Each and every Shia person is either part of the :
        1) Kufaar (disbelievers)
        or
        2) Ahlul Bidah (People of Innovation or Deviation)
        There is no other option. It should be noted that Ahlul Bidah can be broken down further into two arbitrary groups, namely:
        1) Those members of Ahlul Bidah who are simply ignorant.
        and
        2) Those members of Ahlul Bidah who are obstinate in their deviation.
        The second group should be shunned. As for the first group, however, we should seek to soften their hearts so that they educate themselves about the Straight Path and they abandon the Deviated Path. Shaikh Muhammad Salih Al-Munajjid of Islam-qa.com says:
        Softening the hearts of some people is more effective than shunning… shunning may make a person more rebellious and stubborn, and prevent further opportunities to advise and call him; in that case it should not be done…Do not forget to advise him (the sinner or innovator)…Seeking to soften his heart with gifts, smiling at him and speaking kindly to him may be more effective than shunning him, so do that. If he refuses that from you, and does not respond to you, then there is no sin on you and you are not to blame for that…The believer looks at what is in the best interests (of Islam). This does not contradict the idea of hating the kaafirs, innovators and sinners for the sake of Allaah and loving the Muslims for the sake of Allaah. Attention must be paid to what is in the general interest; if shunning is better then they should be shunned, but if the objectives of Islam dictate that ongoing da’wah efforts should be made rather than shunning, then that is what should be done, following the teaching of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). And Allaah is the Source of strength.
        Shaikh Ibn Taymiyyah said:
        Softening people’s hearts may be more beneficial in some cases than shunning. And shunning is more beneficial in some cases then softening hearts. Hence the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) softened the hearts of some people and shunned others.

        Therefore, the former group (the ignorant) should be softened and the second group (the obstinate) shunned.
        Clarification
        Amongst the Ahlus Sunnah, three opinions exist amongst the scholarship:
        1) Those who say: “The Shia are Kufaar.”
        2) Those who say: “The Shia are Muslim.”
        3) Those who say: “Some Shia are Muslim and others are Kufaar.”
        However, the reality is that all three opinions are basically saying the same thing, and the difference in opinion is only lexical. It depends on how one defines the word “Shia.”
        For example, Opinion 1 is held by Mufti Ebrahim Desai of Darul Iftaa who says:
        “Shi’as are not Muslims.” (www.ask-imam.com)
        Mufti Ebrahim Desai defines the word “Shia” as a hypothetical and conceptual entity, as one who follows the beliefs of Shi’ism based upon their texts and the opinions of their classical scholars. In other words, XYZ beliefs are Kufr, and XYZ beliefs are a part of the faith of Shi’ism; therefore, anyone who does not accept the XYZ beliefs is not a real Shia.
        Opinion 2 is held by Shaikh Faraz Rabbani:
        “Notwithstanding the known disagreements between Sunnis and Shia, traditional Sunni scholarship has considered the Shia to be Muslim” (www.SunniPath.com)
        Shaikh Faraz Rabbani is defining the “Shia” in a practical and worldly sense, referring to anyone who calls himself a Shia. This particular fatwa was “politically correct” and in fact Shaikh Faraz Rabani’s disciple, Sidi Salman Younas, clarified:
        “Shaykh Faraz’s position is that a Shi`a is a disbeliever if he denies any of the necessary aspects of the religion, without sufficient shubha. Otherwise, he will not be considered as such.” (Sidi Salman Younas)
        In fact, the Sunni Path website clarifies elsewhere:
        According to the classical and the majority of contemporary scholars, there are two types of Shi’as:
        a)Those that hold beliefs that constitute disbelief (kufr)…shi’as that hold such beliefs are without a doubt out of the fold of Islam.
        b)Those who do not hold beliefs that constitute Kufr…Such Shi’as can not be termed as out of the fold of Islam, rather they are considered to be severely deviated and transgressors (fisq).

        In other words, the difference of opinion is simply lexical, revolving around how the term Shia is used. Even those who declare that “Shia are Kufaar” are simply using a different definition of the word “Shia.” For example, above we have seen how the Ask Imam site says that “Shia are Kufaar” in one fatwa, but we find in another fatwa on the same site that the clarification is given:
        “All the Shiites are not regarded as Kaafir…If a Shiite does not believe in the above (beliefs) and respects all the Sahabah, then he will not be regarded as a Kaafir.

        And this is also the opinion of Mufti Taqi Usmani, who–like Mufti Ebrahim Desai–is Deobandi. Mufti Taqi Usmani is quite explicit in his fatawa Uthmani that the way of the scholars of Dar ul Uloom is to consider a Shia to be Muslim unless he holds certain beliefs which constitute Kufr.
        Therefore, the most appropriate way to phrase the position of the Shia is the third way, which is to refrain from blanket statements and to say that some Shia are Muslim and others are Kufaar. This removes ambiguity and is most precise. Blanket statements such as “the Shia are Kaafir” or “the Shia are Muslim” cause confusion; even though the person who says such statements might know what he is really saying, the reader will be confused into thinking something else. Furthermore, such a person risks the chances of being misquoted.
        Some people mistakenly bring up quotes from past scholars and take them out of context in order to somehow prove that certain classical scholars passed blanket Takfeer on the Shia. Indeed, these quotes are using the word “Shia” in the same way as Mufti Ebrahim Desai used it, namely as one who adheres to the tenets of Shi’ism which includes XYZ beliefs. Oftentimes, when the context of the quote is shown, then this will clear up the matter. Many people have falsely claimed that all four Imams have passed Takfeer on the Shia, but this is not a blanket Takfeer and is only in regards to those who hold XYZ beliefs. Indeed, Ibn Abidin stated in his Radd Al Muhtar, which is the central reference for fatwas in the Hanafi Madhab, that none of the four Imams passed blanket Takfeer on the Shia.
        Shaikh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah is known as being one of the harshest against the Shia, and indeed he did justifiably criticize those Shia who have beliefs which constitute Kufr. And yet, Shaikh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah refrained from doing blanket Takfeer on the Shia. Unknowingly, many persons pass around the following quote:
        Shaikh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah said about the Raafidah, “They are more evil than most of the people of desires, and they are more deserving of being killed than the Khawaarij.” [Refer to Majmoo’ul-Fataawaa (28/482) of Ibn Taymiyyah]
        And yet, this is taking the quote out of context, because what Shaikh Ibn Taymiyyah said is not in regards to all Shia or even all Rafidhis, but only those who have specific beliefs which he mentions:
        “Whosoever claims that the Sahabah became apostates after the Messenger of Allah (except for a small group that did not reach ten odd people in number) or that they majority of them were disobedient sinners, then there is also no doubt about the Kufr of this one.”
        It is not a blanket Takfeer of all Shia but rather of “this one” with those beliefs. Indeed, in no uncertain terms, Shaikh Ibn Taymiyyah says:
        “And regarding the Salaf and Imams, they did not sway from their rejection of Takfeer upon the Murjiah and Shia and others like them. Nor do the texts of (Imam) Ahmad (bin Hanbal) differ in that he did not make Takfeer upon them…and regarding the Khawarij and the (Shia) Rawafid, there is dispute and hesitation regarding Takfeer upon them from (Imam) Ahmad (bin Hanbal) and others besides him.”

        Sidi Salman Younas, a disciple of Shaikh Faraz Rabbani, says the following when someone asked if Shia are Muslim or Kaafir:
        “We asked Mufti Abdur Rahman ibn Yusuf about this question and he pointed out the things Shias do that make them Kaffir, and he followed up with how we have Shias here in the U.S who are utterly unaware of major Shia beliefs (such as cursing the Khulafa); thus this fatwa (of Kufr) will not apply to them. Whether you label this Taqiyya or not, the point still remains that we do not judge their inner (selves).”
        The Dangers of the First Way
        The First Way, which is to make general statements like “the Shia are Kufaar”, is dangerous because it hardens the hearts of the Shia lay-persons, many of whom are genuinely good people and may just be ignorant. They need Dawah and Naseeha, which require softness. Condeming them as Kufaar will only make their hearts turn harder and they will turn away from us. The truth is that they are not Kufaar, but rather only misguided by their Kaafir scholars. We should differentiate between the ignorant masses and the evil Shia leaders.
        By distinguishing the masses from their Ayatollahs, we are driving a wedge between the two groups. And this is what we want to do: our Shia bretheren have been under the brain-washing and programming of their Ayatollahs, and we have to save them from that. If we group them both together as Kufaar, then we are increasing the love between the two and increasing the power and status of the Ayatollahs. In reality, we should create disunity and disharmony in their ranks, driving the people away from the Shia leaders. It is the Shia leaders, not the masses, who propagate such deviant beliefs, who hate the Sahabah, who organize Shia death squads in Iraq, etc.
        Many people have criticized the Ahlel Bayt website for the fact that we refer to the Shia as “brothers” but there is nothing wrong in this, because we are addressing the lay-persons and the commoners from amongst them, not their leaders. We seek to soften their hearts so they harken to the truth and reject their blasphemous leaders.
        The Dangers of the Second Way
        The Second Way, of making general statements like “the Shia are Muslim”, is obfuscation of the truth. It denies the reality that in fact we believe that Shi’ism is Kufr, all of the scholars of Shi’ism are Kufaar,and that even the remaining group are Ahlul Bidah. This confusion will cause problems, such as Sunnis marrying Shia, or Sunnis thinking that they can adopt Shi’ism as a possible “Fifth Madhab”, or the Shia feeling that their way is approved by the Muslims. On the Day of Judgement, these same Shia will point fingers at us and ask us why we did not warn them of the Kufr of their beliefs.
        Furthermore, it is very necessary to expose the Kufr of the leaders of Shi’ism. They have declared war on the true Islam, both by pen and by sword. Unity with them is not possible, and it is a part of their creed to accept the Ahlus Sunnah externally but to oppose us internally. If we allow ourselves to be fooled by false slogans of “Muslim unity”, we will only be left to one day deal with the Shia leaders stabbing us in the back, as has been the case historically and even today in Iraq.
        The Third Way
        There is much confusion as to the correct position of the Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama’ah with regards to the Shia, and a lot of this has to do with the lexical distinctions made by various scholars. However, despite the seemingly contradictory statements, almost everyone (apart from some exceptions) is saying the same thing. I believe that the third way is the best way, and that the first two ways cause confusion. The third way, of saying that some Shia are Muslim and others are Kaafir, is the best methodology. One should be clear that Shi’ism is Kufr, and that some Shia are not Kufaar simply because they are ignorant of the beliefs of Shi’ism which constitute Kufr. In “Hayate Shaikh” by Sayyid Muhammad Shahid Saharanfuri, we read:
        “Hazrat Gangohi used to say that because of the ignorance of the masses, they are (only) faasiq (sinful), (even though) their Ulama are kaafir.”
        Yet, despite our lenience towards the masses, we should be very clear in saying that Shi’ism is Kufr and call the people away from it and those who propagate such Kufr.
        The principle of the Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama’ah is to pass condemnation in general terms, refraining from passing condemnation on people in specific. Therefore, we should make the general statement that “Shi’ism is Kufr”, but we should refrain from saying “that Shia person is Kaafir.” This is stated by Shaikh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah:
        “With regard to a specific evildoer, we should not curse him, because the Prophet forbade cursing ‘Abd-Allaah ibn Himaar who used to drink wine, even though he had cursed the wine-drinkers in general; however cursing a specific person if he is an evildoer or promoter of bid’ah is a point of dispute among the scholars.”
        Shaikh Ibn Uthaymeen said:
        The difference between cursing a specific person and cursing those who commit sin in general is that the former (cursing a specific person) is not allowed, and the latter (cursing the people who commit sin in general) is allowed. So if you see an innovator, you do not say, ‘May Allaah curse you,’ rather say, ‘May the curse of Allaah be upon those who introduce innovations,’ in general terms. The evidence for that is the fact that when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) cursed some people among the mushrikeen and followers of jaahiliyyah and said: “O Allaah, curse So and so, and So and so, and So and so,” he was told not to do that when Allaah said (interpretation of the meaning):
        “Not for you (O Muhammad, but for Allaah) is the decision; whether He turns in mercy to (pardons) them or punishes them; verily, they are the Zaalimoon (polytheists, disobedients and wrongdoers)”

        Therefore, we should say that “Shi’ism is Kufr” (general statement) instead of pointing to individual Shia lay-persons and saying “you are Kaafir” (specific statement). The exception to this, of course, are those Shia leaders who propagate their views; it becomes necessary to condemn them publically so that people are warned to stay away from them. This condemnation would also apply to those non-scholars who become their foremost propagandists and who debate with us in an obstinate way, exceeding the limits. Mufti Mohammad Sajjad stated:
        Q. Is there any difference between scholars of Imami Shias and their laymen, as Mufti Rasheed Ahmed Ludhanvi (rahimuhullah) didn’t distinguish between them?
        A. If they, the laymen, hold the same beliefs as their scholars then there is no difference between them and their ruling is the same [i.e. they are disbelievers].
        Therefore, it is important to notify the people of the Kufr of these Shia scholars, leaders, and self-appointed propagandists. We read:
        Question: Is it permissible to mention peoples’ names and characters when one wants to criticise them and their thinking?
        Response: If someone writes something that contradicts the pure Sharee’ah, and distributes that material, or if he propagates that view in the media, it becomes compulsory to refute him and expose the falsehood of what he says. There is nothing wrong in mentioning that person’s name or in warning people about him if he calls to innovation, shirk, or if he calls people to what Allaah has prohibited or to disobedience. Until this day, there are knowledgeable and believing people from the callers to the truth and bearers of the Sharee’ah fulfilling this obligation, sincerely for Allaah (Subhaanahu wa Ta’aala) and for the benefit of His servants, rebuking the wrong, inviting to the truth, warning others against those who propagate falsehood and destructive rhetoric.
        And Allaah is the Expounder of (all) success.

        Conclusion
        A very clear explanation of the status of the Imami Shia has been given by a student of Mufti Ebrahim Desai, who said:
        Question:
        Are all shia Kafir? If not what makes them kafir or how can i identify if he is kafir?
        Answer:
        Firstly, hereunder are the criteria for declaring someone a non-Muslim:
        –When a person openly calls himself a non-Muslim, i.e. he accepts that he is a Christian, Jew, Hindu, etc.
        –When a person negates, through his words or actions, something unanimously proven through Quran and Hadith. He will not be regarded a Muslim even though he claims to be one.

        Secondly, although the Shias claim that they are Muslims, most of them have beliefs that negate the clear cut principles of Islam…[such as] they regard the status of their twelve Imams to be higher than the status of the Ambiya (Alaihim Assalaatu Wassalaam).

        Thereafter, Shias are categorised into three groups in regards to the ruling they fall under:
        (1) Those about whom it is certain that they negate the principles of Islam. Such Shias will be regarded as non-Muslims even if they do claim otherwise…
        (2) Those who do not negate any principles of Islam, but have a difference of opinion with the Muslims on saying that Ali (Radiyallahu Anhu) was the most superior amongst all the Sahabah (Radiyallahu Anhum). Such Shias will not be regarded as non-Muslims, but they will still be regarded as fasiqs (those who transgress the laws of Islam openly)…
        (3) Those whose beliefs cannot be confirmed. They will not be regarded as Muslims nor will they be regarded as non-Muslims. As a matter of precaution, inter-marriages with them will not be permissible and the meat from the animals slaughtered by them will not be Halal.

        As far as ties with Shias are concerned, it is not permissible to have close friendship with them. However, Islam encourages Muslims to have good conduct with them, and show good character.

        In conclusion, we say that Shi’ism is Kufr, and there is no doubt about this; if one properly follows Shia doctrine, then such a person is a Kaafir. Based on this, we say that the Shia leaders, scholars, and learned ones–including their propagandists–are Kufaar. As for the Shia lay-persons, then we generally refrain from passing Takfeer on them as a matter of precaution due to their ignorance which oftentimes saves them from Kufr. Therefore, we should make general statements such as “Shi’ism is Kufr” and “the Shia leaders, scholars, and learned ones (including their propagandists) are Kufaar” but refrain from specifically condemning individual lay-persons who are ignorant of certain Shia doctrines. We should shun the former (i.e. the learned ones) but we should soften the latter (i.e. the ignorant ones).

      Narrated ‘Aisha: I used to play with the dolls in the presence of the prophet, & my girl friends also used to play with me. When Allah’s apostle used to enter (my dwelling place) they used to hide themselves, but the prophet would call them to join & play with me. (the playing with the dolls & similar images is forbidden, but it was allowed for ‘Aisha at that time, as she was a little girl, not yet reached the age of puberty.) (Fateh-al-bari page 143, vol.13)

      HOW TO THIGH

      Now let us see how thighing is practiced on a female child & who began this evil practice. According to an official Fatwa issued in Saudi Arabia, the prophet Muhammad began to practice thighing his child-bride, Aisha when she was 6 years old until she reached 9 years of age (Fatwa No. 31409). The hadith mentioned the prophet Muhammad started performing literal sex with Aisha ONLY when she reached the age of 9 (Sahih al-Bukhari, book 62, hadith No. 89).

      Muslim scholars collectively agree, a child becomes an adult, available for sexual intercourse as soon as she reaches the age of nine. Likewise, the Shari’a allows any of the faithful to marry a six-year-old child.
      According to the fatwa, the prophet Muhammad could not have sex with his fiancée, Aisha when she was six due to her small size & age. However, the fatwa said that at age six, he would put his penis between her thighs and massage it gently because he did not want to harm her.

      Imagine a man of 51 removing the clothes of a 6-year-old girl and slipping his erect penis between her thighs, rubbing her until he ejaculated and his semen ran down her thighs. To this day, this is considered a benevolent act on the part of the adult male “not wanting to harm her.” What harm could be inflicted upon a young girl mentally and emotionally if not a grown man showing her his penis and stripping her of her clothes and rubbing his male organ between her legs?

      Of course the twisted mind that does such an evil to a female child, would not hesitate to ejaculate on her body. And if this sexually perverted evil frame of mind committed such an act upon a child, the pedophile would not stop at ejaculating on her. His evil desire would go further and rape the child before she was a mature adult. This is exactly what Muhammad did to Aisha when she was yet a child of 9.

      Before she reached puberty, he began to have sex with her. Let us see what the fatwa said about the prophet of Islam and his child-bride, Aisha.“Praise be to Allah and peace be upon the one after whom there is no [further] prophet. After the permanent committee for the scientific research and fatwas (religious decrees) reviewed the question presented to the grand Mufti Abu Abdullah Muhammad Al-Shamari, with reference number 1809 issued on 3/8/1421(Islamic calendar).

      The inquirer asked the following:‘It has become wide spread these days, and especially during weddings, the habit of mufakhathat of the children (mufakhathat literally translated means “placing between the thighs of children” which means placing the male erected penis between the thighs of a child). What is the opinion of scholars knowing full well that the prophet, the peace and prayers of Allah be upon him, also practiced the “thighing” of Aisha – the mother of believers ?’
      After the committee studied the issue, they gave the following reply: ‘It has not been the practice of the Muslims throughout the centuries to resort to this unlawful practice that has come to our countries from pornographic movies that the kofar (infidels) and enemies of Islam send. As for the Prophet, peace and prayers of Allah be upon him, thighing his fiancée Aisha. She was six years of age and he could not have intercourse with her due to her small age.

      That is why the prophet peace and prayers of Allah be upon him placed his penis between her thighs and massaged it lightly, as the apostle of Allah had control of his penis not like other believers’” (Fatwa No. 31409).

      Thighing of children is practiced in many Arab and Muslim countries, notably in Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Iran, and the Gulf countries.       SHARIA LAW:

      A FATHER CANNOT BE EXECUTED FOR MURDERING HIS WIVES OR CHILDREN.
      In Saudi Arabia, the human rights group “Women to Drive” is protesting the light sentence given a Muslim preacher for the torture, rape and murder of his five-year old daughter, on suspicion that she was not a virgin. According to various reports, it is said that according to sharia law, a father cannot be executed for murdering his children, nor a husband for murdering his wives.

      The following ruling is promulgated by orthodox Sunni Islam; a parent is “not subject to retaliation” (or, retribution) “for killing their offspring, or offspring’s offspring.” Jihad Watch attributes the worldwide epidemic in honor killings to the spread of Muslims worldwide. According to some Islamic scholars, honor killings predate all the major contemporary religions of the world, and are part of the common primitive, tribal and patriarchal prehistory of mankind.

      However, international surveys indicate that many Muslims believe their religion sanctions honor killings. The recent ruling from Saudi Arabia indicates honor killing continues to be countenanced by Muslim jurists in majority Muslim countries. As to the meaning of “blood money,” it pertains to paying for the economic loss suffered by the victim or next of kin.

      According to the Talmud, in the case of a loss due to simple negligence, it is equal to three components: (A) medical expenses, (B) the loss of wages, and (C) the amount a person of similar status would pay to avoid the pain and suffering. In the case of a loss due to criminal negligence short of premeditated murder, the law of retribution (“eye for an eye”) pertains, although the victim could exercise mercy and accept only blood money. In the case of premeditated murder, there can be no mercy. That there is a distinction between simple negligence (such as an industrial accident) and criminal negligence is made clear in Deuteronomy Chapter 19.

      The law of retribution is thus confined to crimes as opposed to mere torts; and even in the case of criminal negligence, mercy might be exercised. While we are on the subject of “eye for an eye,” I will comment briefly of what Jesus had to say. He said “whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.” (Matthew 5:39) Being hit on the right check is to be hit with the left or weak hand of the offender. It’s a Jewish idiom for being insulted. Jesus said do not return insult for insult, but see if an actual harm follows. In my Army days, we put it this way, don’t get into a pissing contest. (Somehow, I don’t think Jesus would put it that way.) Why even school children know this. They say, “sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me.”

      Getting back to the law retribution, we could say that a parent is presumed to love his children and, so, in the absence of strong evidence, will only be held liable for blood money when responsible for the death of a child. If sharia law merely establishes a refutable presumption, it would make sense. Indeed, if you think that both revelation and reason are witnesses to the truth, reason would guide your interpretation of the Koran. This is how conservative Jews approach the Bible. We say you have to realize the texts come from a culture and literary style where allegory, exaggeration, sarcasm and humor are often employed, even where there are degrees of “no.” But, in Islam, the orthodox have been in charge for a long time now, and they almost insist that sharia law is to be followed even if it contradicts reason. I will conclude with a consideration of how faithful the Islamic scholars are the principle of restitution. As a forensic economist, I have numerous times offered my expert opinion to courts of law dealing with economic loss calculation. To be sure, I would adjust my calculation according to any specific information regarding the earnings potential or life expectancy of a particular person. In the absence of such information, I can only go by averages. Considering the per capita GDP of Saudi Arabia ($25,000), her work life expectancy (from 21 to 62), and the time value of money (at 6%), the economic loss suffered by the girl’s death is approximately $400,000. Not the puny amount $50,000 that has been reported! Those who claim they are doing justice are liars. And that they claim to do justice in the Name of God, they are damn liars! The man who killed this girl should, according to sharia law, be sold into slavery if he cannot pay $400,000, even if it accepted that he killed the girl out of a simple negligence. But, it is obvious that more than simple negligence was involved.

      Saudi Arabia’s Royal Family has intervened in the case of a leading cleric who raped and tortured his five-year-old daughter to death, causing outrage at home and abroad.
      Lama al-Ghamdi was admitted to hospital in the town of Hotat Bani Tamim in November with a crushed skull, broken back and shattered ribs. Social workers said that she had been repeatedly raped and her body burnt.

      ISLAMIC TOILET VOODOO

      Like or not, toilet protocols, as prescribed in Islam, are mandatory to all Muslims. Non Muslims might loathe reading this episode on Islamic toilet voodoo, as it contains obnoxious, tasteless, indecent, and uncivil manners and customs, largely followed by desert Bedouins during Muhammad’s time. Lest we forget, Allah will never forgive a Muslim for deviating from His standard of Islamic toilet habits as demonstrated by Muhammad.

      First, let us focus on a few verses of the Qur’an where Allah says a Muslim must emulate Muhammad’s manners, traditions, and practices at all time.

      In verses 3:132 and 4:80 Allah says that obeying Him and Muhammad (i.e., Muhammad’s examples) is mandatory. This means Muslims have no choice but to follow Muhammad’s deeds, as this constitutes the obeying the commands of Allah. A similar command is echoed in verse 33:36 where Allah stipulates that provisions (rules and examples, even toilet rules) set by Allah and Muhammad are binding to all Muslims; there are no alternatives. Ibn Kathir adds more punch to Allah’s command He writes that this verse is general in meaning and applies to all matters, i.e., if Allah and His Messenger decreed a matter, no one has the right to go against that, and no one has any choice or room for personal opinion on that case.

      Allah decrees in verse 33:21 that He has made Muhammad an excellent example for the believers to follow and in verse 68:4 Allah reminds the Muslims that Muhammad is the exalted (ultimate/excellent) standard of character. Ibn Abbas says that Muhammad has great character traits with which Allah has honoured him.

      Allah promises great rewards for emulating Muhammad’s habits, manners, and instructions. In verse 33:71 Allah declares that obeying Allah and Muhammad are the highest achievements, and in verse 3:31 Allah sets a condition that if any Muslim loves Allah then he/she must follow Muhammad, and Allah will forgive his/her sins. Verse 4:13 guarantees paradise for those who blindly obey Muhammad.
      Allah prescribes severe punishment for not emulating Muhammad. In verse 47:33 Allah says that if Muslims do not obey Muhammad, then He will nullify all their good deeds. In verse 48:13 we read that Allah has prepared a blazing fire for those who reject Him and his apostle Muhammad. In verse 58:5 Allah has decreed that those who reject Allah and His messenger (Muhammad) will be reduced to dust.
      Here is what Ash Shifa (p.316) writes about imitating Muhammad absolutely:
      It is also known that the Companions were in the habit of imitating the actions of the Prophet, whatever they were and in every way, just as they obeyed whatever he said. They threw away their signet rings when he threw his away. They discarded their sandals when he discarded his. They used as a proof for facing Jerusalem when going to the lavatory the fact that Ibn ‘Umar saw him doing so. Others found a proof for other actions both in the category of worship and general custom by saying, “I saw the Messenger of Allah do it.”

      Once we acknowledge Allah’s dicta in the above paragraphs we will understand why the Muslims follow a few weird toilet manners, though those habits were the customs of the Arab Bedouins millennia ago. In Islam, there is no date of expiry of Muhammad’s traditions and practices they are eternal.
      It is also important to keep in perspective the primitive toilet facilities in Muhammad’s household. The truth is: Muhammad, including his wives, used to relieve themselves in the open desert, under the open sky. The males could defecate any time of the day or night, but Muhammad’s wives were restricted to answer their calls of nature only at night. Described by a few ahadith, we have a glimpse of the abject toilet facilities in Muhammad’s family. Here are a few examples:

      Wives of Muhammad answered the call of nature in the open field…(Sahih Bukhari, 1.4.148, 149)

      During Hajj some of Muhammad’s companions had their penises dripping with prostrate fluid… (Sunaan Abu Dawud, 2.10.1785)

      When defecating together (two men) do not converse, do not look at each others private parts… (Sunaan ibn Majah, 1.342)

      Carry three stones while relieving yourself in desert…(Mishkat, 1.186)

      To be certain, let us read in full, one hadis from Sahih Bukhari:
      Sahih Bukhari Volume 1, Book 4, Number 148:
      Narrated ‘Aisha:
      The wives of the Prophet used to go to Al-Manasi, a vast open place (near Baqia at Medina) to answer the call of nature at night. ‘Umar used to say to the Prophet “Let your wives be veiled,” but Allah’s Apostle did not do so. One night Sauda bint Zam’a the wife of the Prophet went out at ‘Isha’ time and she was a tall lady. ‘Umar addressed her and said, “I have recognized you, O Sauda.” He said so, as he desired eagerly that the verses of Al-Hijab (the observing of veils by the Muslim women) may be revealed. So Allah revealed the verses of “Al-Hijab” (A complete body cover excluding the eyes).
      The above hadis also tells us why Muhammad imposed veils on Islamic women.

      We will now examine a few outstanding features of Islamic toilets.

      JINNS & DEVILS HAUNT ISLAMIC TOILETS

      If we happen to be in an Islamic Paradise, we might be completely surprised that many Muslims still believe these Islamic voodoos. For example, if you are in a village in Bangladesh or Pakistan, you will come across with many devout Muslims who will vouch that they had seen jinns inside their primitive latrines. A few of them might even swear that the local Imam or an Islamic mendicant had been able to chase out jinns and devils from their toilets when the jinns or devils caught their women in the toilets. Note that it is usually the women (pretty ones) who fall victims to the jinns and devils residing in rural Islamic latrines.

      Please do not laugh. If we were to believe the following ahadith then it is certainly true that Islamic toilets are the perennial abodes of jinns and devils.

      In Sunaan Abu Dawud (1.0006) we read that toilets are frequented by jinns and devils. Sunaan ibn Majah (1.296) writes that devils visit public toilets.

      Let us read in full the first hadis:

      Sunaan Abu Dawud, Book 1, Number 0006:
      Narrated Zayd ibn Arqam:
      The Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) said: These privies are frequented by the jinns and devils. So when anyone amongst you goes there, he should say: “I seek refuge in Allah from male and female devils.”

      PRAY BEFORE ENTERING AN ISLAMIC TOILET

      Since jinns and devils visit Islamic toilets, Muhammad instructed his followers to offer prayer when entering a lavatory. We have already read a hadis on this. Here are a few more.

      Pray when answering the call of nature…(Sahih Bukhari, 1.4.144)

      When you enter a lavatory say, “O Allah, I seek refuge in Thee from wicked and noxious things.”… (Sahih Muslim, 3.0729)

      When entering a toilet, say a prayer: O’ Allah I seek refuge with you from all offensive and wicked things (evil deeds and evil spirits)… (Sunaan Nasai, 1.19)

      To screen you from jinns, when visiting toilet say Bismillah… (Sunaan Tirmidhi, 130)

      DO NOT HOLD YOUR PENIS WITH YOUR RIGHT HAND

      Please do not be offended when you read this weird Islamic Toilet manner. In Islam, it is haram to hold your penis with your right hand when you defecate or urinate. Regarding your penis manner, while in an Islamic Toilet, there are many ahadith, in all the Sahih Sitta (the six authentic) on this specification of Allah. In many of these ahadith Muhammad (that is, Allah), specified that when inside a toilet one may use his left hand to hold his penis. We may wonder about women, I am yet to find a hadis where Allah has specified that women cannot hold (touch) their pudenda with their right hand. So we may assume that women are free to use either hand to cleanse themselves.

      Here is a collection of a few interesting ahadith on Islamic manners of cleaning yourself in the toilet.

      Do not breath while drinking water; do not touch penis in lavatory and do not cleanse private parts with your right hand… (Sahih Bukhari, 1. 4.155)

      While urinating, do not hold penis with your right hand… (Sahih Bukhari, 1.4.156)

      While in a toilet do not touch penis with your right hand… (Sahih Muslim, 2.0512)

      While urinating or defecating do not touch your penis with your right hand… (Sunaan Abu Dawud, 1.1.0031)

      When urinating do not touch your penis with your right hand… (Sunaan Nasai, 1.24, 25)

      Use left hand for private parts…(Mishkat, 1.185)

      Do not touch male organ with right hand… (Mishkat, 1.183)

      Use left hand for touching private parts… (Mishkat, 1.185)

      RULES ON ISLAMIC DEFECATION (HAVING A SHIT)

      In the Qur’an there is very little or none about Allah’s stipulation on Islamic Toilet procedures. However, some Islamic scholars believe that Allah revealed verse 9:108 in connection with the proper method of cleaning oneself after defecating. Let us read verse 9:108 from the Qur’an and a hadis from Sunaan

      Abu Dawud:
      9:108. Never stand you therein. Verily, the mosque whose foundation was laid from the first day on piety is more worthy that you stand therein (to pray). In it are men who love to clean and to purify themselves. And Allâh loves those who make themselves clean and pure (i.e. who clean their private parts with dust [i.e. to be considered as soap) and water from urine and stools, after answering the call of nature] (Tr. Hilali and Khan).

      Please note that the translators have inserted their own comments. They are of the opinion that in Islamic ritual of defecating dust may be considered as soap.

      Here is what a hadis says:

      Sunaan Abu Dawud, Book 1, Number 0044:
      Narrated Abu Hurayrah:
      The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: The following verse was revealed in connection with the people of Quba’: “In it are men who love to be purified” (ix.108). He (Abu Hurayrah) said: They used to cleanse themselves with water after easing. So the verse was revealed in connection with them.

      One compulsory provision of Islamic toilet manner is that during defecation a Muslim must position himself in such a manner that neither his face (that is, penis or women’s vulva) nor his back (that is, buttock) should face the Qibla (Kaba). Muslims must obey this rule whether defecating in an open desert or inside a latrine in his house.

      Here are a few ahadith on this:

      While defecating in the open space neither face nor turn your back towards Qibla (Kaba); instead, face the east or the west… (Sahih Bukhari, 1.4.146)

      While excreting or urinating do not face the Qibla…(Sahih Muslim, 2.0504)

      When defecating in the desert do not face Qibla nor turn your backside towards Qibla; use three sods and your right hand to cleanse your private parts… (Sunaan Tirmidhi, 128)

      While defecating do not face or show backside to Allah… (Mishkat, 1.185)

      Interestingly, Muhammad, at times, had violated Allah’s rules. Here is the proof:

      Muhammad urinated by turning his face towards the Qibla…(Sunaan ibn Majah, 1.325)

      Muhammad defecated facing Jerusalem… (Sahih Bukhari, 1.4.147)

      Muhammad stipulated that if you wear a ring, you must remove it when going inside a toilet. True to this funny Islamic Toilet protocol, a hadis in Sunaan Abu Dawud (1.0019) and Sunaan ibn Majah (1.3033) state that Muhammad used to remove his ring when visiting a toilet.

      Another interesting hadis in Sahih Muslim (7.2942) says that a Muslim can defecate in a river. In this case there might not be any necessity to cleanse his anus, as river water will do the job. Curiously, a hadis in Sunaan Nasai (1.50, 51) says that having defecated, and having cleansed yourself, you should rub two hands on earth.

      Here are a few more interesting ahadith on defecating in Islamic manner:
      After defecating do not use bones or dung; use stones to cleanse yourself… (Sahih Bukhari, 1.4.157)

      Use odd number of stones (minimum three) to clean your private parts… (Sahih Bukhari, 1. 4.162)

      Use three stones to clean yourself after defecating… (Sunaan Abu Dawud, 1.0040)

      When visiting a toilet carry three stones with you… (Sunaan Abu Dawud, 1.1.0040)

      After you defecate, use two clods of earth; do not use dung… (Sunaan Nasai, 1.42)

      If you defecate in a desert use three stones, no need to use water… (Sunaan Nasai, 1.44)

      RULES ON ISLAMIC URINATION

      If we are confounded with bizarre Islamic rules on defecating, here are more rules on urinating Islamically.

      1. Do not urinate in stagnant water… (Sunaan ibn Majah, 1.343)
      2. Do not urinate standing; Umar did that but Muhammad reprobated him… (Sunaan Tirmidhi, 133)
      3. At night you may urinate in a vessel… (Sunaan Nasai, 1.32)
      4. At night Muhammad used to urinate on a wooden vessel… (Sunaan Abu Dawud, 1.0024)
      5. Do not urinate in a hole… (Sunaan Nasai, 1.34)
      6. Urinate in a soft ground… (Mishkat, 1.185)
      7. Do not urinate in a place of bath and then take bath there… (Sunaan Nasai, 1.36)
      8. Do not return salutation when you are urinating… (Sunaan Nasai, 1.37)
      9. After urinating sprinkle water on your private parts. (Sunaan Nasai, 1.136, 137)

      As was often the case, Muhammad had violated his own rules on urination.

      ISLAMIC BATHING RULES

      Here are a few interesting rules on Islamic bath (ghusl):

      Muhammad forbade the use of leftover water by females to be used by males…(Sunaan Abu Dawud, 1.0082)

      Muhammad and his wives took bath from the same vessel of water…(Sunaan ibn Majah, 1.379)

      Muhammad defecated facing Jerusalem… (Sahih Bukhari, 1.4.147)

      Muhammad stipulated that if you wear a ring, you must remove it when going inside a toilet. True to this funny Islamic Toilet protocol, a hadis in Sunaan Abu Dawud (1.0019) and Sunaan ibn Majah (1.3033) state that Muhammad used to remove his ring when visiting a toilet.

      Another interesting hadis in Sahih Muslim (7.2942) says that a Muslim can defecate in a river. In this case there might not be any necessity to cleanse his anus, as river water will do the job. Curiously, a hadis in Sunaan Nasai (1.50, 51) says that having defecated, and having cleansed yourself, you should rub two hands on earth.

      RULES ON ISLAMIC URINATION

      If we are confounded with bizarre Islamic rules on defecating, here are more rules on urinating Islamically.

      1. Do not urinate in stagnant water… (Sunaan ibn Majah, 1.343)

      2. Do not urinate standing; Umar did that but Muhammad reprobated him… (Sunaan Tirmidhi, 133)

      3. At night you may urinate in a vessel… (Sunaan Nasai, 1.32)

      4. At night Muhammad used to urinate on a wooden vessel… (Sunaan Abu Dawud, 1.0024)

      5. Do not urinate in a hole… (Sunaan Nasai, 1.34)

      6. Urinate in a soft ground… (Mishkat, 1.185)

      7. Do not urinate in a place of bath and then take bath there… (Sunaan Nasai, 1.36)

      8. Do not return salutation when you are urinating… (Sunaan Nasai, 1.37)

      9. After urinating sprinkle water on your private parts. (Sunaan Nasai, 1.136, 137)

      As was often the case, Muhammad had violated his own rules on urination.

      e9.0 GOING TO THE LAVATORY

      e9.1 It is recommended when one intends to use the lavatory:

      (1) to put something on one’s feet, unless there is an excuse (0: such as not having shoes);
      (2) to cover the head (0: even if only with a handkerchief or other);
      (3) to set aside anything on which there is the mention of Allah Most High, His messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace), or any revered name (0: like those of prophets or angels). If one enters with a ring (0: on which something worthy of respect is written), one closes one’s hand around it;
      (4) to ready stones (N: or other suitable material (def: e9.5» (0: if one uses them) to clean oneself of filth (N: though water alone is sufficient);
      (5) to say before entering: “In the name of Allah. 0 Allah, I take refuge in You from demons, male and female,” and after leaving, “[0 Lord,] Your forgiveness. Praise be to
      Allah who rid me of the hurt and gave me health”;
      (6) to enter with the left foot first and depart with the right foot first (and this, together with (3) and (5) above, are not only for indoors, but recommended outdoors as well);
      (7) not to raise one’s garment until one squats down to the ground (0: to keep one’s
      nakedness covered as much as possible) and to lower it before one stands up;
      (8) to put most of one’s weight on the left foot while squatting;
      (9) not to spend a long time;
      (10) not to speak;
      (11) when finished urinating, for men to squeeze the penis with the left hand from base to head (0: recommended because this is where the urethra is, and for women to squeeze their front between thumb and forefinger) (N: so urine does not exit later and nullify one’s ablution) pulling lightly three times (0: this being recommended when one thinks the urine has stopped, though if one thinks it has not, this is obligatory);
      (12) not to urinate while standing (0: which is offensive) unless there is an excuse (N: such as when standing is less likely to spatter urine on one’s clothes than sitting, or when sitting is a hardship);
      (13) not to clean oneself with water in the same place one relieved oneself, if it might spatter, though if in a lavatory one need not move to a different place;
      (14) to distance oneself from others if out• doors and to screen oneself;
      (15) not to urinate into holes, on hard places, where there is wind, in waterways, where people gather to talk, on paths, under fruit trees, near graves, in still water, or in less than 216 liters of running water;
      (16) and not to relieve oneself with one’s front or rear facing the sun, moon, or the Sacred
      Precinct in Jerusalem.

      e9.2 It is unlawful to urinate on anything edible, bones, anything deserving respect, a grave, or in a mosque, even if into a receptacle.

      e9.3 It is unlawful to urinate or defecate with one’s front or rear towards the direction of prayer when outdoors and there is no barrier to screen one, though it is permissible when outdoors or indoors within a meter and a half of a barrier at least 32 cm. high, or in a hole that deep. When one is not this close to such a barrier, it is not permissible except in a lavatory, where, if the walls are farther from one than the maximal distance or are shorter than the minimal height, relieving oneself with front or rear towards the direction of prayer is permissible, though offensive.

      e9.4 It is obligatory to clean oneself of every impure substance coming from one’s front or rear, though not from gas, dry worms or stones, or excrement without moisture.

      e9.5 Stones suffice to clean oneself, though it is best to follow this by washing with water. Anything can take the place of stones that is a solid, pure, removes the filth, is not something that deserves respect or is worthy of veneration, nor something that is edible (0: these being five conditions for the validity of using stones (N: or something else) to clean oneself of filth without having to follow it by washing with water).
      But it is obligatory to wash oneself with water if:
      (1) one has washed away the filth with a liquid other than water, or with something
      impure;
      (2) one has become soiled with filth from a separate source;
      (3) one’s waste has moved from where it exited (n: reaching another part of one’s person)
      or has dried;
      (4) or if feces spread beyond the inner buttocks (N: meaning that which is enfolded when standing), or urine moved beyond the head of the penis, though if they do not pass beyond them, stones suffice.
      It is obligatory (N: when cleaning oneself with a dry substance alone) to both remove the
      filth, and to wipe three times, even when once is enough to clean it, doing this either with three pieces (lit: “stones”) or three sides of one piece. If three times does not remove it, it is obligatory to (N: repeat it enough to) clean it away (0: as that is the point of cleaning oneself. Nawawi says in ale Majmu’ that cleaning oneself (N: with a dry substance) means to remove the filth so that nothing remains but a trace that could not be removed
      unless one were to use water) (N: and when this has been done, any remaining effects of filth that could have only been removed with water are excusable). An odd number of strokes is recommended.
      One should wipe from front to back on the right side with the first piece, similarly wipe
      the left with the second, and wipe both sides and the anus with the third. Each stroke must begin at a point on the skin that is free of impurity.
      It is offensive to use the right hand to clean oneself of filth.
      e9.6 It is best to clean oneself of filth before ablution, though if one waits until after it to clean, the ablution is nevertheless valid (N: provided that while cleaning, the inside surface of the hand (def: e7.4) does not touch the front or rear private
      parts). If one waits until after one’s dry ablution (tayammum, def: e12) to clean away filth, the dry ablution is not valid (A: because lack of filth is a condition for it).

      Allah’s Apostle said, “If anyone of you performs ablution he should put water in his nose and then blow it out and whoever cleans his private parts with stones should do so with odd numbers. And whoever wakes up from his sleep should wash his hands before putting them in the water for ablution, because nobody knows where his hands were during sleep.”

      The Prophet went out to answer the call of nature and asked me to bring three stones. I found two stones and searched for the third but could not find it. So took a dried piece of dung and brought it to him. He took the two stones and threw away the dung and said, “This is a filthy thing.”

      I followed the Prophet while he was going out to answer the call of nature. He used not to look this way or that. When he finished having a shit, he used them.

      Indeed, one of them never saved himself from being soiled with his urine while the other used to go about with calumnies (to make enmity between friends). The Prophet then asked for a green leaf of a date-palm tree, broke it into two pieces and put one on each grave. On being asked why he had done so, he replied, “I hope that their torture might be lessened, till these get dried.”

      The Prophet once passed by two graves and said, “These two persons are being tortured not for a major sin (to avoid). One of them never saved himself from being soiled with his urine, while the other used to go about with calumnies (to make enmity between friends).” The Prophet then took a green leaf of a date-palm tree, split it into (pieces) and fixed one on each grave. They said, “O Allah’s Apostle! Why have you done so?” He replied, “I hope that their punishment might be lessened till these (the pieces of the leaf) become dry.”

He then ordered to cut their hands and feet (and it was done), and their eyes were branded with heated pieces of iron, They were put in ‘Al-Harra’ and when they asked for water, no water was given to them.” Abu Qilaba said, “Those people committed theft and murder, became infidels after embracing Islam and fought against Allah and His Apostle .”

      The wives of the Prophet used to go to Al-Manasi, a vast open place (near Baqia at Medina) to answer the call of nature at night. ‘Umar used to say to the Prophet “Let your wives be veiled,” but Allah’s Apostle did not do so. One night Sauda bint Zam’a the wife of the Prophet went out at ‘Isha’ time and she was a tall lady. ‘Umar addressed her and said, “I have recognized you, O Sauda.”

      He said so, as he desired eagerly that the verses of Al-Hijab (the observing of veils by the Muslim women) may be revealed. So Allah revealed the verses of “Al-Hijab” (A complete body cover excluding the eyes).

      Am I not allowed to pray in the mosque, because I suffer from constant emission of wind (FARTING) that does not have a smell? How often do I have to do wudoo’ in order to offer obligatory and naafil prayers?.

      Praise be to Allaah.

      Firstly:

      Emission of wind (FARTING) invalidates wudoo’, because of the report narrated by al-Bukhaari (135) from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “No prayer will be accepted from one who is in a state of minor impurity until he does wudoo’.” A man from Hadramawt said: What is minor impurity, O Abu Hurayrah? He said: Breaking wind (FARTING) silently or loudly.

      PART 3

      2 WAYS TO FART

      Breaking wind (FARTING) is of two types:
      1.
      Where there is a time when it stops, such as if it was coming out, then it stops for a while during which one can do wudoo’ and pray. In this case, you have to do wudoo’ and pray during the time when it stops.

      THE SECOND WAY TO FART
      2.

      Where it is continual (FARTING) and there is no time when it stops, rather it may come out at any time. In this case you should do wudoo’ for every prayer after the time for that prayer begins, and pray the obligatory prayer and whatever naafil prayers you want with this wudoo’, and whatever wind comes out will not affect you, even if that is during prayer.

      Narrated Abu Huraira:

      Allah’s Apostle said, “The prayer of a person who does Hadath (passes, urine, stool or wind) (FARTING, PISSING or SHITTING) is not accepted till he performs (repeats) the ablution.” A person from Hadaramout asked Abu Huraira, “What is ‘Hadath’?” Abu Huraira replied, ” ‘Hadath’ means the passing of wind (FARTING) from the anus.”

      Note: Ritualistic cleaning is necessary after farting.

      It says in Fataawa al-Lajnah al-Daa’imah (5/411):

      The basic principle is that emission of wind (FARTING) invalidates wudoo’, but if it comes out of a person constantly, he has to do wudoo’ for each prayer when he wants to pray, then if it (FART) comes out of him whilst he is praying, it will not invalidate the prayer and he has to continue his prayer until he completes it, as a concession from Allah to His slaves and so as to relieve them of hardship, as Allah says (interpretation of the meaning)

      Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
      If a person cannot remain in a state of purity for the length of the prayer, he should do wudoo’ and pray, and it will not matter if anything comes out of him during the prayer, and this wudoo’ will not be invalidated by that, according to the consensus of the imams. The most he has to do is do wudoo’ for each prayer.

      Narrated Abu Huraira:

      The Prophet said “If a house fly falls in the drink of anyone of you, he should dip it (in the drink), for one of its wings has a disease and the other has the cure for the disease.” (Sahih Al-Bukhari: Volume 4, Book 54, Number 537)

      Why is Muhammad making sure with his instruction that the fly gets a full body ablution in your drink, transferring the maximum number of bacteria and diseases into it?

      Here is what the medical world says:

      There are many bacteria and parasites that infest the fly, making flies a major factor in spreading many diseases by touching surfaces with their legs or their saliva. After walking on much excrement, flies may carry up to as many as 6 million bacterias on their feet. SO BE WARY OF FOODS THAT HAVE BEEN TOUCHED BY A FLY!

      … A well fed fly defecates at least once every 5 minutes!

      Another website has this to say about flies:

      … The two-winged flies constitute a larger order of insects and well over 110,000 different species are known throughout the world. This group forms one of the most highly specialized of insect orders and many species are of the utmost significance in regard to human welfare. If there is anything as “harmless as a fly”, it is certainly not the common housefly or any of its relatives.

      Diseases, e.g., malaria, dysentery, sleeping sickness, onchocerciasis, elephantiasis and yellow fever are carried or transmitted from man to man by bloodsucking dipterous flies. Many other diseases are transmitted mechanically by flies due to the habit exhibited by many species of sucking liquid from excreta and other decaying organic matter and then settling on and vomiting on your food.

      The fly was made to distribute quantities of pathogenic disease organisms. Its 6 feet are equipped with bristles and sticky pads and its proboscis is hairy. A sticky liquid comes out of the hollow hairs on their feet allowing them to walk upside down and on glass, etc. The fly’s digestive tract is an incubator for germs!

      No doubt, the stress put on a fly by drowning it, would only cause it to vomit and defecate even more, releasing an extra portion of germs into your drink!

      Narrated ‘Aisha:
      I used to play with the dolls in the presence of the Prophet, & my girl friends also used to play with me. When Allah’s Apostle used to enter (my dwelling place) they used to hide themselves, but the Prophet would call them to join & play with me. (The playing with the dolls and similar images is forbidden, but it was allowed for ‘Aisha at that time, as she was a little girl, not yet reached the age of puberty.)       Some Muslims claim that it was Abu Bakr who approached Muhammad asking him to marry his daughter.

      The Prophet asked Abu Bakr for ‘Aisha’s hand in marriage. Abu Bakr said “But I am your brother.” The Prophet said, “You are my brother in Allah’s religion and His Book, but she (Aisha) is lawful for me to marry.” Bukhari 7.62.18

      The Arab year is lunar, which is shorter than the solar year. In solar years, Aisha was 8 years 9 months old when Muhammad consummated his marriage with her. Consummate? This is a nice way to say raped her. According to Muslims, a woman must consent to her marriage or the marriage is null. How can a 6-years old child consent to her marriage? Without a consent, how can we call this relationship between a 51 years old man and a 6-years old child, MARRIAGE?

      The law ordering pedophilia is in chapter 65, entitled The Divorce and qualified by Islamic law, which is based on the sunnah, the perfect example of Muhammad recorded in the hadiths, traditions. The context deals with the issue of the waiting period for divorce, and remarriage. The Quran orders Muslim men to wait a period of three months in the case of women who either are no longer menstruating or haven’t yet started their menstrual cycles.

      (4. Those in menopause among your women, for them the `Iddah, if you have doubt, is three months; AND FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NO MENSTRUATION. And for those who are pregnant, their `Iddah is until they lay down their burden; and whosoever has Taqwa of Allah, He will make his matter easy for him.)

      Question #12708: Is it acceptable to marry a girl who has not yet started her menses?
      Answer: Marriage to a young girl before she reaches puberty is permissible according to sharee’ah, and it was narrated that there was scholarly consensus on this point.
      1 Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
      And those of your women as have passed the age of monthly courses, for them the Iddah (prescribed period), if you have doubt (about their periods), is three months; and for those who have no courses [(i.e. they are still immature) their Iddah (prescribed period) is three months likewise [al-Talaaq 65:4]
      In this verse we see that Allaah states that for those who do not menstruate because they are young and have not yet reached the age of puberty the iddah in the case of divorce is three months. This clearly indicates that it is permissible for a young girl who has not started her periods to marry.

      The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) married Aa’ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her) when she was six years old, and he consummated the marriage with her when she was nine, and at that time he was over fifty.
      Al-Bukhaari (3894) and Muslim (1422) narrated that Aa’ishah said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) married me when I was six years old and consummated the marriage with me when I was nine.
      It was narrated from Aa’ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) married her when she was six years old, he consummated the marriage with her when she was nine and she stayed with him for nine years.
      If she has not reached the age of puberty, then her father has the sole right to arrange her marriage and does not have to ask her permission. With regard to the wedding-party of a young married girl at the time of consummating the marriage, if the husband and the guardian of the girl agree upon something that will not cause harm to the young girl, then that may be done. If they disagree, then Ahmad and Abu Ubayd say that once a girl reaches the age of nine then the marriage may be consummated even without her consent, but that does not apply in the case of who is younger. There is nothing in the hadeeth of Aa’ishah to set an age limit or to forbid that in the case of a girl who is able for it before the age of nine.
      Question #8981: What is the punishment for a girl found guilty of adultery if she has not even reached her puberty – she is still a minor?
      Answer: Al-Qurtubi said: The followers of all religions are agreed that adultery is forbidden; no religion regards it as permissible. Hence the punishment for it is one of the most severe punishments, because it is a crime against honor and lineage, which is one of the five basic principles that Islam seeks to protect, namely life, religion, lineage, reason and wealth.

      “A man can quench his sexual lusts with a child as young as a baby. However, he should not penetrate. Sodomizing the baby is halal (allowed by sharia). If the man penetrates and damages the child, then he should be responsible for her subsistence all her life. This girl, however, does not count as one of his four permanent wives. The man will not be eligible to marry the girl’s sister. It is better for a girl to marry when her menstruation starts, and at her husband’s house rather than her father’s home. Any father marrying his daughter so young will have a permanent place in heaven.”

      Firstly:
      The question of acting and related issues has already been dealt with in Question no. 10836. We may add to that:
      Shaykh Abu Bakr Zayd (may Allaah preserve him) said: chivalry [i.e., behaving in a proper and decent manner] is one of the aims of sharee’ah, and anything that undermines that renders a person unfit to give testimony in court. Islam enjoins the loftiest characteristics and forbids base and vile characteristics. How often do viewers see an actor doing silly actions or moving or speaking in a silly manner, or even playing the role of a madman, idiot or fool. Based on this, it is clear to the wise man that acting is one of the things that most undermine chivalry, so it is one of the things that render a person unfit to give testimony in court. Anything that is like that is not approved of in sharee’ah.

      Secondly:
      Marrying a young girl before she reaches the age of adolescence is permitted in sharee’ah; indeed it was narrated that there was scholarly consensus on this point.

      (b) It was narrated from ‘Aa’ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) married her when she was six years old, he consummated the marriage with her when she was nine and she stayed with him for nine years.

      The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) married ‘Aa’ishah when she was six years old and consummated the marriage when she was nine.”

      The fact that it is permissible to marry a young girl does not mean that it is permissible to have intercourse with her; rather that should not be done until she is able for it. For that reason the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) delayed the consummation of his marriage to ‘Aa’ishah. Al-Nawawi said: With regard to the wedding-party of a young married girl at the time of consummating the marriage, if the husband and the guardian of the girl agree upon something that will not cause harm to the young girl, then that may be done. If they disagree, then Ahmad and Abu ‘Ubayd say that one a girl reaches the age of nine then the marriage may be consummated even without her consent, but that does not apply in the case of who is younger. Maalik, al-Shaafa’i and Abu Haneefah said: the marriage may be consummated when the girl is able for intercourse, which varies from one girl to another, so no age limit can be set. This is the correct view. There is nothing in the hadeeth of ‘Aa’ishah to set an age limit, or to forbid that in the case of a girl who is able for it before the age of nine, or to allow it in the case of a girl who is not able for it and has reached the age of nine. Al-Dawoodi said: ‘Aa’ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her) was reached physical maturity (at the time when her marriage was consummated).

      It is preferable for a guardian not to marry off his daughter when she is still young unless there is a valid reason for that.
      Al-Nawawi said:
      It should be noted that al-Shaafa’i and his companions said: It is preferable for fathers and grandfathers not to marry off a virgin until she reaches the age of puberty and they ask her permission, lest she end up in a marriage that she dislikes. What they said does not go against the hadeeth of ‘Aa’ishah, because what they meant is that they should not marry her off before she reaches puberty if there is no obvious interest to be served that they fear will be missed out on if they delay it, as in the hadeeth of ‘Aa’ishah. In that case it is preferable to go ahead with the marriage because the father is enjoined to take care of his child’s interests and not to let a good opportunity slip away.

Sometimes the Angel comes in the form of a man and talks to me and I grasp whatever he says.” ‘Aisha added: Verily I saw the Prophet being inspired Divinely on a very cold day and noticed the sweat dropping from his forehead (as the Inspiration was over).

      Narrated Aisha
      (the mother of the faithful believers) The commencement of the Divine Inspiration to Allah’s Apostle was in the form of good dreams which came true like bright daylight, and then the love of seclusion was bestowed upon him. He used to go in seclusion in the cave of Hira where he used to worship (Allah alone) continuously for many days before his desire to see his family. He used to take with him the journey food for the stay and then come back to (his wife) Khadija to take his food likewise again till suddenly the Truth descended upon him while he was in the cave of Hira. The angel came to him and asked him to read. The Prophet replied, “I do not know how to read.”
      The Prophet added, “The angel caught me (forcefully) and pressed me so hard that I could not bear it any more. He then released me and again asked me to read and I replied, ‘I do not know how to read.’ Thereupon he caught me again and pressed me a second time till I could not bear it any more. He then released me and again asked me to read but again I replied, ‘I do not know how to read (or what shall I read)?’ Thereupon he caught me for the third time and pressed me, and then released me and said, ‘Read in the name of your Lord, who has created (all that exists) has created man from a clot. Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous.” (96.1, 96.2, 96.3) Then Allah’s Apostle returned with the Inspiration and with his heart beating severely. Then he went to Khadija bint Khuwailid and said, “Cover me! Cover me!” They covered him till his fear was over and after that he told her everything that had happened and said, “I fear that something may happen to me.” Khadija replied, “Never! By Allah, Allah will never disgrace you. You keep good relations with your kith and kin, help the poor and the destitute, serve your guests generously and assist the deserving calamity-afflicted ones.”
      Khadija then accompanied him to her cousin Waraqa bin Naufal bin Asad bin ‘Abdul ‘Uzza, who, during the Pre-Islamic Period became a Christian and used to write the writing with Hebrew letters. He would write from the Gospel in Hebrew as much as Allah wished him to write. He was an old man and had lost his eyesight. Khadija said to Waraqa, “Listen to the story of your nephew, O my cousin!” Waraqa asked, “O my nephew! What have you seen?” Allah’s Apostle described whatever he had seen. Waraqa said, “This is the same one who keeps the secrets (angel Gabriel) whom Allah had sent to Moses. I wish I were young and could live up to the time when your people would turn you out.” Allah’s Apostle asked, “Will they drive me out?” Waraqa replied in the affirmative and said, “Anyone (man) who came with something similar to what you have brought was treated with hostility; and if I should remain alive till the day when you will be turned out then I would support you strongly.” But after a few days Waraqa died and the Divine Inspiration was also paused for a while.
      Jabir bin ‘Abdullah Al-Ansari narrated while talking about the period of pause in revelation reporting the speech of the Prophet “While I was walking, all of a sudden I heard a voice from the sky. I looked up and saw the same angel who had visited me at the cave of Hira sitting on a chair between the sky and the earth. I got afraid of him and came back home and said, ‘Wrap me (in blankets).’ And then Allah revealed the following Holy Verses (of Quran):
      ‘O you (i.e. Muhammad)! wrapped up in garments! Arise and warn (the people against Allah’s Punishment),…’ up to ‘and desert the idols.’ (74.1-5) After this the revelation started coming strongly, frequently and regularly.”
      SUNNAH & QURAN
      1. Allah says: The carcass and it’s blood are forbidden to you (5:3). In explanation of this verse, the corpse of locusts, fish, the livers, spleen of blood are lawful. So the Prophet (SAW) said: He has made two dead things and blood lawful: the locusts and the fish, the liver and the spleen.
      2.
      Baihaqi and others have recorded it as ‘marfu’ type of hadeeth as also ‘mauquf’ type. The ‘isnad’ od ‘mauquf’ is authentic and it is as good as ‘marfu’ tradition, since it is not stated in the form of a ‘ra’y’ (decision based on one individual’s judgement not on Qur’an and Sunnah).

      PART 3

      Allah says: I find not in the message received by me by inspiration any (food) forbidden to be taken by one who wishes to, unless it is dead meat or blood poured forth or the flesh of swine, for it is an abomination, or what is impious (meat) on which a name has been invoked other than Allah’s (6:145).

      PART 4
      The Sunnah has forbidden many things not mentioned in the verse mentioned above: All predatory animals with tusk and every bird with claw are forbidden for consumption. There are other traditions which have forbidden the consumption of such animals as the Prophet (SAW) is reported to have said on the Day of Khayber: Allah and His Messenger have prohibited the consumption of domesticated asses, for they are filth. The two shaikhs have reported it.

    • SICK MIND OF MUSLIMS

      The biggest fear Muslims have is the fear of losing their faith (‘Imaan’). This is because of the fear, inculcated in them since childhood, that any information that has no parallel in Islamic theories and laws is false and detrimental to their faith.
      This is in fact nurturing their religious superstition, which they cherish and glorify. Truth has no fear. Yet, when they are so afraid of losing their faith, what can be made of that faith? Something that has no strong foundation? No better than stupid superstition?
      Since childhood, Muslims are strongly advised to hold their faith tight, strengthen their “imaan”, so that nothing can shake their faith in Islam and on the integrity of Muhammad. This is simply instilling one’s own beliefs and ideas into someone else, not letting them learn based on evidence and reasoning. It is nothing but ‘brainwashing’. This training of the impressionable mind of children is a perfect tool to turn them obstinate against evidence, to turn them blind to reasonable arguments.
      Education does not require to be hammered into someone. It is attained by the power of realization and evaluating premises on the basis of integrity and conscience. Once a child has his reasoning elevated, he himself would decide what is right and what is wrong. This is a privilege which Muslim children are deprived of. Muslims live in a kind of sick societal atmosphere where education is censored, knowledge is curbed from acquiring to the fullest extent possible, and real-life approaches and experiences are manipulated to suit Islamic ideologies!
      If Allah is so much happy with divine ignorance and godly stupidity, then Satan must be happy with verified knowledge and proven education. Isn’t it?
      Muhammad taught his followers to believe blindly in all his balderdash instead of teaching the importance of intellect, reason, open-mindedness and doubt. He never encouraged his followers to be great in creativity, art, innovation, knowledge, science, education, discipline and integrity. Instead, he commanded to marry and produce offspring as much as they could. He wanted to see the number of his followers to be large, not the higher quality, so that they can be manipulated and engaged in fighting for achieving his ignoble and ulterior motives. Muslims always say that science is not perfect and does not have all the answers. This is another fallacy they love to commit. Failure of one thing does not make the other victorious. It has to prove its own claims.
      Secondly, the reason Muslims blindly believe what is told to them about Islam is because, they have never read the Sunnah–the sayings and deeds of Islam’s self-proclaimed prophet, Muhammad. The Truth about Muhammad is told in the Sunnah. The problem with Muslims is that they are totally incapable of thinking for themselves. No Muslims will ever challenge the Quran or question the integrity of Muhammad. Anything they learn about the Quran and Sunnah is mainly from hearsay. And there lies the cause of all problems in Islam. Muslims are commanded in the Quran to take Muhammad as their model. Muhammad is considered the perfect and divinely-endorsed “role model” in Islam. Since the words and deeds of Muhammad are only found in the Sunnah, it is important that Muslims read the Sunnah. Few Muslims read the Sunnah, even the Quran, in a language they understand. They believe whatever has been told to them by their Imam.
      Thirdly, in Islamic culture, children are instructed to believe everything Muhammad said and did, love and respect him more their parents, which Muhammad himself had instructed his followers to do. They are never ever supposed to doubt the messages of the Quran and Hadiths. Suppose a child, since very early age, is taught that two and two makes five, and till his ripe age, every people around him—teacher, preacher, father, mother, brother or uncles sister, aunty friends and foes—confirmed it and said the same thing, then that child, even after coming of age, would never be able to realize that two and two actually makes four. Instead, he/she will deem such a claim as false or illogical.
      Muslims find the Quran to be miraculous and inspiring, because it validates and satisfies their preconceived ideas of hate, nonsensical laws and ideas, and stupidities about Allah, Muhammad, believers, non-Believers, Heaven and Hell. Muslims find the Quran to be correct because it confirms whatever the irrationalities, inhuman opinions, and absurdities they have received from their parents, teachers and relatives. This is like a Muslim child told in his green age that Jews are filthy and evil, and after they reach adolescence or adulthood and reads the Quran, it confirms his inculcated-since-tender-age belief that Jews are filthy and evil. Thus that childhood teachings perpetuates in them till death.
      This is how Muslims’ unshakable belief in every absurdities and drivels of the Quran in groomed. A person who is sitting in a moving car cannot feel the movement of another car moving in parallel at the same speed. Similarly, when a person groomed with errors since tender age and later finds a scripture filled with the same errors, he/she fails to perceive the error. Even if a book has some wisdom in it, that does not necessarily make it is a divine book, because we have to see the character of the speaker/writer, not the book, because it is easy to plagiarize the wisdom from other books but very difficult to emulate a true saint or prophet. Furthermore, even a bad watch tells you correct time twice a day.
      In moderate countries like India or Bangladesh, Muslims are not in as bad a shape as their Muslim brothers of African and Middle East countries. And these less-damaged Muslims think that what they believe and perform as their religion – like the prayer, fasting, and zakat – is the only true form of Islam. Such thoughts are not borne out of knowledge, but of their ignorance about real Islam. They never read Islamic history, never read the Quran thoroughly to understand its messages, and they never read the Sahih Hadiths. Their knowledge and ideas of Islam is predominantly shaped by age-old social tradition. And whatever they read are the works of contemporary scholars and Maulanas that contain pick-and-choose knowledge and ideas of Islam in sugarcoated form, not the undistorted actual message and teachings of Islam. And Muslims never verify or check what has been written in those books to see if it is correct, whether or not they have provided authentic and correct reference. When it comes to books written by the critics of Islam, they, in the first place, refuse to read those books. Then they right-away condemn such writings as ill-intentioned calumny against their beloved religion, instead of reading and checking to verify whatever they have written are true or not. In sum, they blindly believe and praise the writings in favour of their religion, and disbelieve and pour scorns on those, whose writings go against Islam.
      Muslims are so fanatic and intolerant about their religion and prophet that whenever there is any criticism of those two subjects, they whole-heartedly come to defend their faith and prophet with their arsenal of ignorance, whether or not they follow even the basic teachings of Islam or have the least bit of knowledge of it. They do so in the hope of earning some reward from Allah by showing their blind and utmost love and reverence toward their prophet and religion. They won’t let go of any such opportunity to earn Allah’s rewards the easy way. Their mind has been shaped in such a way that they would commit any misdemeanor, even outrageous violence, to protect their religion in the hope of earning great divine virtues and rewards, instead of being just and rational. Even the most ignorants amongst Muslims, even little children, harshly attack the critics of Islam and Muhammad, while their greatest of apologists and scholars fail to offer coherent and convincing answer to those critics. Like it is said: “The ignorant blathers on the dense issues, what the enlightened falters to speak about.”
      Whenever someone tries to show Muslims the truth about Islam, they behave as if he is trying to mislead them and that person is their biggest enemy. Instead of listening and verifying whatever that person has to say and find out if there is any contradictions in what they been told about Islam, they behave like they don’t have the capacity to judge things about their religion—choose between right and wrong, truth and falsehood. Muslims fear questioning Islam and embracing the truth just like a witch is afraid of being exposed to daylight. When one tries to project the light of truth toward their forehead, both their eyes and mind shrink. Just as Oliver Wendell Holmes said:
      “The mind of a bigot is like the pupil of the eye. The more light you pour upon it, the more it will contract.”
      No Muslim understands the Quran but they pretend that they do and understand it satisfactorily. Else, they would be insulted of ignorance and unguidance by fellow Muslims or peers. If mullahs and muffassir have understood it, then there would not be so much contradictions and controversies among Islamic scholars in their interpretations, and there won’t be so many sects in Islam. Every Muslim understands Islam as per his/her whims and wishes. Why the Quran, supposedly a clear guide to life for Muslims of all level of education and intellect and of all ages, leaves so much space for people to understand it as per their desire is a question that needs deeper consideration and analysis.
      Every Muslim thinks that he/she is better human being than others; they believe their language ‘Arabic’ is the most preferred by God; they believe that the Quran is the one and completely pure, original and divine book. They also believe that among themselves, those who perform Salah (5 times prayer) are better than those who do not; those who grow beard and do the Salah are better than those without beard but do the Salah; and Muslims who perform the Hajj (pilgrimage) are better than those Muslims who do not. And they often treat fellow Muslims differently as per these considerations. Thus they possess some sorts of ingrained narcissistic traits. One may count such silly thoughts and attitudes of Muslims on and on. But the fact is: Even the worshippers of devil and followers of Satan may make such narcissistic claims about themselves, but it is not THEY, who are supposed to decide the truth about themselves. It is the third party, it is their actions and deeds, that should determine whether or not they are superior to others.
      If Muslims are the most adorable creature on earth, then why the Omnipotent Allah fails to make His beloved folks the majority even after 14 centuries; if Arabic is the favourite language of Allah, then why He fails to turn it into a universal language. The answer is simple. These narcissistic claims of Muslims are all lies and complete rubbish. Even if we agree that they are right, then which one among the many Muslim sects is on the right path of God, as every sect among them is accusing others of infidelity, blasphemy, shirk and such? If they are all on the right path, there would be no contradictions among them, so won’t multiple sects. The truth is always one but lies can be many. It is the lies which divide people, truth unites them. There is not a single week that passes without a news of bomb blasts in Muslim countries like Pakistan, Syria, Iran, Iraq or Egypt in which one group of Muslims target another group. The Quran says that non-believers are cursed by Allah. Then, why is there so much curse of Allah in Muslim countries instead of blessings? It is not non-Muslims, but Muslims, who burn most of the Quran by exploding bombs in mosques of the other sects, assuming that they are carrying out the divine plan of Allah. Just as an adage goes, “Live by the sword, die by the sword.”
      • Has anyone ever heard of Hindus rioting and burning embassies of other countries or shooting Mullahs when Muslims butcher cows, which sacred to Hindus?
      • Did Buddhists around the world riot and kill Muslims when Muslims destroyed the statues of Buddha in Afghanistan?
      • Did Christians riot and act barbarously when Muslims burned the flag of Denmark which has a cross on it?
      All such savagery is unique to Muslims.
      Muslims are incapable of even considering the possibility that even the smallest thing written in the Quran and Sunnah can be lie or not right. A Muslim is incapable of proving any criticism of Islam as false. But, he is adamant that Islam is true and anyone disagreeing with it must be wrong. These poor souls are prisoners of intellectual incapacity. They have a mental block from which they can’t break away. They believe that if they defend Islam in whichever way it be, they will get rewarded for it in the afterlife. So, we normally see them blindly try to defend the religion of Allah, no matter how much knowledge they have or how much it works. They just do it, because they believe that being Muslims they have the utmost responsibility to protect Islam from criticism.
      Once a Muslim told me that those, who don’t pray to Allah at his home, their home will become a graveyard. I asked him: Is Allah so needy and desperate? He sounds more like a psychopath, despot, narcissist and dependant on our worship.
      His reply was: Since Allah has created you and everything in the world, he has the right to do anything he wants. He has the right to destroy his creation.
      I said to him, this sums up the insanity of Muslims. They believe in a false postulate without questioning its validity. In fact, they do not dare question it for the fear of hell. And then, once that fallacy is accepted as truth, they shut up their brains and mindlessly do what Muhammad told them to do. This is total madness. Muslims have been reduced to zombies. Nothing can be more dangerous than a brainless killing machine. Who said that Allah created us? How do we know that Allah was not the Satan who picked the vilest man on Earth to fool people and convert this world into hell of lies? There is plenty of evidence that Allah and Muhammad’s deeds are demonic. Where is the proof that he is the real God? Islam is an embodiment of evil.
      They are mentally paralyzed by the fear of hell, thus spiritually regressed. At the same time, they are fascinated by the lure of carnal delight of Allah heavenly brothel.
      Muslims think that all followers of Islam, after being punished for a period for the evils they commit in the worldly life, will go to heaven to live there for eternity, but those who never accept Islam will burn in Hell endlessly. They can’t even think on their own about what Muslims have done before their birth that Allah would give them such a privilege to kill and curse the non-believers of Islam, and call them filthy and misguided, and why Allah deprives others to be born as Muslim to enjoy all those privileges. And if you can only be saved by believing in Muhammad, what about all those billions of people throughout the period of Islam who lived in vast areas of the world without ever hearing about Muhammad? Will they all be condemned to eternal fire just because of their lack of information about Muhammad’s religion?
      Once I asked a Muslim scholar: How would Allah judge a baby who died only a few days after his/her birth before he/she could believe in Islam? Would he go to heaven or hell?
      His answer was: It was a profound theological question, and added, either the baby’s soul would go into limbo (until when one wonders?) or it would be judged on the behaviour of the parents.
      What staggering nonsense! Thank goodness the baby won’t be judged on the behaviour of the mullahs.
      When Muslims are shattered in debates and has no answer, they quickly claim that their faith only gets boosted in course of such arguments. This nothing but fruitless effort on their part to discourage the critics, just like a candle flutters before it blows out. When a person losses his extremely dear object or subject, he initially fails to believe that he has actually lost it. This happens because at the initial stage, he fails to gather enough courage to accept such a most undesirable reality. But as time passes, he eventually has to face the truth and embrace the reality. Our heart can be deceived by its emotions and hopes. Faith and hopes are the most deceptive of human emotions. It will be utterly baffling to a neutral person as to how a Muslim’s faith can become stronger when he/she is shown, citing information from their own sacred texts, that Muhammad was a vile criminal? How can that increase pride instead of causing shame? What Muslims assume as ‘Imaan’ is in fact superstition wrapped in obstinacy and empowered by ignorance and stupidity. Their faith is nothing but a cherished and adored superstition, which they are determined to hold fast and not lose it at any cost.
      Whatever Islamic apologists write to defend Islam are nothing but misleading fallacies, irrational arguments, incorrect deductions, erroneous syllogisms and immoral justifications. They present all sorts of delusional and flawed wiles in defense of Islam and Muhammad only to dupe and deceive themselves, but Islam is and will be vulnerable and untenable forever.
      Muslims claim that all the wars Muhammad had fought was in self-defense. At the same time, they justify their prophet’s looting the non-believers and making their women concubines and their children slaves. One can claim that he has killed someone in self-defense, but cannot also claim that he has robbed him in self-defense after killing him. Islam’s own scriptures make it obvious that Muhammad never fought in self-defense; instead, he always attacked first and aggressively, and in every attack, he plundered and pillaged those communities and caravans. Had Muhammad fought proper battles with enemies in the battle-field, there won’t be any women and children to enslave them, neither will be wealth for him to plunder as sacred booty other than swords, spears and possibly some horses.
      Muslims have distorted and perverted the sense of morality and nobility. The ideas of humanity, enlightenment, and spirituality are missing in Islam. Their morality is only the commands of the Quran, no matter how corrupt, immoral and even barbaric they are; their nobility is what Muhammad did, no matter how repugnant his deeds were; their humanity is limited to Muslim brotherhood, not based on the golden rule; their enlightenment is the mental entrapment in the spells of the Quran; their salvation or moksh starts from Salah (daily prayers) ending in sexual orgy after death.
      In Islam, it is halal to beat one’s wife but it is haram for a woman to expose her hair to strangers. It is halal for men to be promiscuous and polygamous, but the same is haram for women. It is halal to own slaves, but it is haram to charge interest on loans. It is halal to deflower a 9-year-old girl but it is haram for girls and boys to mingle. It is halal to rape a boy and have pedophilic relationship with him, but it is haram to have homosexual relationship with another adult. Muhammad and Allah (9:28) claims that non-believers are filthy, but their women’s private parts are pure for the lust of Muhammad and his followers. Islamic Sharia is against human ethics. In short, morality in Islam is what Sharia dictates and not what logic or ethics say.
      Let me conclude by saying:
      “Islam is a sieve of submission which has thousands holes and is woven by the strings of ignorance, stupidity and lies that the fathead and ignorant can’t pass through. And Muslims dig their own grave of ignorance and jump into it to go into sinister slumber to rest on superficial and supercilious contentment.”
