Muzaffarnagar Riots which has claimed 31 lives and injured 40, started on 27 August 2013. But how many of us know why it started. As per the Muzaffarnagar’s Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Manjil Saini told IANS that Sachin, a resident of Malakpura village was told by his sister that a Muslim boy named Shahnawaz was harassing her.
Uttar Pradesh government hardly takes any action against Muslim hoodlums and eve teasers, as it will reduce the number of votes of Samajwadi Party in coming election. As per the earlier report by One India News Sachin with his friend went to Shahnawaz and opposed the molestation.
But unfortunately Sachin and his friend where chased and gruesome attack continued on them for at least 25 minutes till they breathed their last. There are different versions of the same story by different media. Another report says, that Sachin and his friend attacked the Muslim boy and in clash all three were killed.
Mid Day reports, “After the news of the killings spread, the members of both community attacked each other. The police took possession of the three dead bodies, and temporarily brought the situation under control. The authorities also deployed PAC personnel in the village”
On Aug 29, Hindu women devotees in relation to earlier event were molested by Muslims near temple and then the stoning started between both the sides, as reported by India TV News.
To plan further attacks on Hindus, huge Muslim mob assembled near Shaheed Chowk, on Friday 30th of Aug after their evening prayers. And the very next day the same mob attacked a Hindu family going in car and set the car in fire. It is astonishing why Media and Government is trying to hide these facts, and trying to show Muslims as victims which they are not.
In order to protest the incident, the Jat/Hindu community organized a ‘panchayat’ at Jaansath town on August 31. The panchayat demanded action against the culprits responsible for the murder of the two Jat youths. The panchayat also demanded the removal of the Superintendent of Police of Shamli district for his allegedly partisan conduct.
Again the government did not took any immediate action, as per their vote bank policy.
As per few reports which Media does not want to expose, Temples were broken by Muslims in Sanjhak and Titavi, against which BJP called Muzaffarnagar band. In reaction to which case was filed against BJP MLA with a false charge.
On 4th Sporadic violence in Muzaffarnagar continued, and on 5th Mahabandh call given across Muzaffarnagar district. On next day Bharatiya Kisan Union calls panchayat at Nangla Mandoud. Sit-in outside jail.
The Khap panchayat (Village council) then announced to organize a ‘Bahu Beti Samaan Bachaoi Mahapanchyat’ (Protect the pride and prestige of Hindu Women) on September 7, at Nagla Mandaur, if their demands were not met.
On 7th of Aug, Hindus going to panchayat were attacked by Muslim mob and in self defense they fought back. There is no official record of how many Hindus and Muslims died in the violence, but as per a Facebook page, majority of people died in violence were Hindus, which may be near about 30.
Still the state government and the Chief Minister, Akhilesh Yadav in his press conference, sporting skull cap like of Muslim (without any Islamic festive occasion) stressed and said that he and his government is with Muslims and minority. He not even bothered to console the Hindu families who has lost their loved ones in violence.
It is hard for me to digest why no one is blaming a single Muslim for all this violence which took place, instead the government is busy protecting them. It is disgraceful that Hindus in Uttar Pradesh have elected a government, which only cares about the terrorists, hooligans and Muslims. May this violence open their eyes.
