Butt, head of the PCB between 2008-11, made the comment as he came out of the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore after a meeting with current chairman Najam Sethi to discuss the structural changes at the International Cricket Council(ICC) ruling body.

Pakistan abstained from voting in favour of the changes at an ICC meeting in Singapore earlier this month, and has opposed the reforms which effectively hand control of world cricket to India, Australia and England.

Asked on live television what he thought about the ‘Big Three’ boards, Butt said: “Listen don’t quote me but in my personal opinion all three are sons of pigs”.

A PCB official reacted speedily to Butt’s remark by saying: “It’s his opinion not the board’s. We have no more comment to make”.

Butt added that Pakistan now needed to safeguard their own interests in world cricket.

“Every board is looking after its own interests and that is what we also must do,” he said.

Sethi has been meeting former heads of the PCB on the ‘Big Three’ issue after taking over as chairman last week. He has made it clear that Pakistan will be reviewing their stance on the ICC changes.

  1. Ijaz Butt called Indian cricket players ‘sons of a swine’. So what? Who the heck is Ijaz Butt? He’s ex-chairman of PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board). He’s not a religious scholar. Who cares for him?

Raj, you’re being a dickhead here. Sorry for the word but that’s quite hideous that you’re making a pure political scandal look like an evil in Islam.

    • Dear MM, Lucky says the Quran is plagiarised and that there are NO Angels that brought down the verses fro any Allah. Do you agree with that????

  2. Whoever plays with or keeps any kinds of relationship with Pakistan (porkistan 😉 ?) are really son of pigs!
    Totally true!

    • You are a racialist!! Pakistanis are the same Indians only living in a neighbouring country. Those Pakistani Indians broke away due to the mistake of Nehru and Gandhi, when Indostan got divided.

Stop bringing hatred amongst people…you rotten poop!

  3. Ijaz Butt, is right in calling Indian players ‘ sons of pigs’ which they are , for playing with Pakistan. I too call all Indian players ” SONS OF PIGS” for the record.

    • Surj 1936, Indian players are our brothers and should not be brought about here and called names. In fact, the young of the pigs are called piglets!!!!!!!!!!!!
